Bella She watched as Parker sent Whit off with Milly about half an hour after theyd arrived to get themselves something to drink and a snack if they liked , and hed actually walked them out of the room and pointed them in the direction to go .

Before stepping back into the room and closing the door , which had been open all morning .

He looked right at her and sighed , before walking across the room to stand next to her bed .

Weve not had a moment alone since you woke up .

he stated as he looked down at her .

Annette had helped her to sit up , propped some pillows behind her and used the bed mechanics to help her sit as comfortably as possible .

She knew that was true , but wasnt expecting his hand to touch her face as he sat on the edge .

Hed made himself plainly clear and told her he loved her even , and if he did actually love her , seeing her like that would have scared him , hurt him in all likelihood .

She could give him a little comfort back .

I heard you donated blood , a lot of it , she stated , and pulled back from him to look at him .

Id have given you everything just to see you survive .

His hand brushed through her hair as he looked at her.

Parker ! she frowned .

she put a hand up to stop him , understood his desire to kiss her , it was very much a Mate thing after a stressful event and her dying was stressful for him , she could imagine , 1/4 seeing as that was what he wanted for them once more .

His eyes moved back to hers , and she could see he wasnt happy about her delaying what he likely needed , but she was just confused about .

She frowned at him , not understanding why hed back away so suddenly , and he stated The children are coming .

She couldnt hear them , had not wolfen senses at all right this minute .

Hed likely been listening for them as well .

I dont know if youd want then to see something like that .

I wouldnt mind it but … he grabbed a chair and sat himself down as the door opened and Whit and Milly came into the room with not just drinks but snacks as well .

Lots of them .

The vending machine was free , press a button and get a snack , Whit told her with a grin .

She shook her head .

Yes , it had been like that when shed lived here .

They were simply in the vending machine to keep them cold and those that worked here could grab a snack on the go when it got hectic and forgot to eat , passed by it and suddenly realised they were hungry or hadnt eaten .

Perhaps some self control is needed then , she stated .

But they were free , Whit repeated .

She looked at Parker , who just shrugged it off .

It wont hurt them .

He stated and plucked a chocolate bar right out of Whits hand .

Ill take that its my faviourite .

he smiled at Whit ..
