20 Parker He was marked and mated to Carina now , something hed done to get over the pain he and Vex were still suffering from .

Belladonnas rejection just would not leave them .

It hadnt exactly been the right way to do it , and he knew that , but Carina had wanted to be marked and mated by him anyway .

So , he and Vex had allowed it , she was their actual Goddess Gifted , and they were both hoping that it would obliterate the pain of that rejection .

Stop them feeling like they were gutted from the inside out .

His meeting of Carina should have made them happy and wanted nothing more than reject his Chosen Mate .

But it had not , laying in his bed all night , knowing that she wasnt across the hall , wasnt even inside the pack , bothered him greatly .

Carina smelled nothing like Belladonna , who had this energetic scent that made him feel invigorated , shed smelled like Lemon Zest and Ginger and with a hint of cracked pepper .

Shed smelled spicy to him , and hed like it , always felt more alive smelling her .

Carina smelled sickly sweet to him , like cloves and cinnamon bark .

Her Mate scent was cardamom oil , like a Christmas cookie , he thought .

It had actually made him wrinkle his nose that first time shed stood before him as his Mate .

Hed allowed that Goddess Gifted Mate bond to just take over , hadnt fought it at all in the end , he could feel all the sparks of the mate bond between them , when touching her even before he marked and mated her , not something hed had with Belladonna .

Hed let Carina f ** k him furiously in her need to claim him as her Goddess Gifted , something shed been denied since the night of the full moon , and then the two nights following that .

Theyd had to stop overnight on the way back to the pack .

It was a long a drive , and he wouldnt let her touch him while Belladonna was still in the pack .

Their mating alliance had stated she had to be gone from it .

He also didnt want to mate someone new the same day hed been rejected .

That to him was a bit wrong , even though Belladonna had told him to go and do it , that it would ease his pain .

Hed felt her sever from the pack and then him as her Alpha that night shed left .

Shed rejected him as her mate inside his office but not as her Alpha , so she wouldnt scent of a rogue until she was gone from the pack altogether .

Feeling that had hurt almost as much as being 20 rejected by her , he had clutched at his chest and had to really breathe through it .

Hed not known when she was going to do it , just at some point after she found somewhere to stay was all shed told Kane .

It had hurt for nearly an hour , to lose her so completely , he was no longer her Mate or her Alpha either , shed willingly left him and severed all ties with him .

Gone , disappeared into the night .

Hed slept late and woken up to Carina wanting to be initiated into the pack .

She wasnt going anywhere , wanted to be here with him , though shed still looked ticked off seeing him that morning .

Hed ushered her into his office where his unit had been sitting and initiated the girl .

Shed stared at him after being initiated , had tilted her head frowning , then shed stated Is she gone from the pack ? and hed known in that instant that shed been searching out his previous Luna .

Yes , left before midnight .

Shed stated , staring up at him Weve waited , no … you made me your Goddess Gifted wait long enough for that , dont you think! Shed turned and walked from the office , Our suite .

Shed stated , and because the pain of losing Belladonna was near on killing him , it was like a hole in his heart that just would stop growing or hurting , hed thought .

So hed followed her , she was his Goddess Gifted , theyd marked and mated in his bed .

Shed just climbed right on top of him and taken him nil hesitation .

Shed known what to do and done it .

Had fought him quite a bit on him holding her down , and Marking her before she did him .

She had been , and he knew it , trying to dominate him .

Seeing as she was getting her way , she thought he was going to be a push over .

He wasnt , hed just still been in pain and trying to rid himself of it .

Shed find that out the hard way in all likelihood that he wasnt .

Hed marked her and sorted his own needs to Mate her fully before even letting her mark him back .

That had shocked him completely , and hed stood there and watched her walk down the hallway with the cleaning crew .

She didnt want to retain her position as the Lunas Omega .

Hed stepped into his suite finally and closed the door , and found Carina already in their bed .

I hear shes never been in your bed .

She smiled up at him No wonder you were so aggressive in wanting to claim me .

Did she really think hed never had s* x with Belladonna ? He didnt know how she could think that , she knew theyd been together for eight years .
