73 Parker He was impatient waiting on Alpha Grettas approval for him to go to the Hollowed Moon .

Shed asked him to wait on that ; until the Wolfen Council had done their own investigation into the matter .

Hed rejected Carina weeks ago , the very day hed gotten all the information out of her , only to have her stare at him as though she couldnt believe it ; that he would actually reject her at all .

Almost as if it had never crossed her mind .

Even after everything shed done , shed still thought that hed stay attached to her , and solely because she was his Goddess Gifted Mate , had in fact yelled that at him , You cant reject me , Im your Goddess Gifted Mate .

Hed stood there in the cells and just stared at her , because anyone can reject a Mate bond , one just had to utter the words was all .

Youd best accept it , or youll be in for a world of pain , hed told her , and shed snorted disbelievingly at him .

To which hed stated I intend to bring Belladonna and my son here to this pack .

Where I intend to win her over and have her become my Luna to this pack once more .

Which means I will Mark and Mate her at some point .

Im going to date her and in time spend hours in her bed .

Do you really want to feel all of that ? You would never cause me pain like that , Carina stated , staring at him almost triumphantly .

Its gone now , hed told her , and it was had burned off him in a matter of a minute , and though it had hurt it was nothing compared to how Belladonnas had felt .

Hed not clutched at his chest or felt like his heart was being ripped out of him , the pain was bearable .

He now wondered if that was because he loved Belladonna and didnt want their bond broken or her mark gone from him .

Or was it because of all the horrid things hed put up with year after year with Carina and their mate bond that saw him no longer cared about her , or their bond at all ? That hed wanted it to be over for years , but just hadnt yet voiced it , Hed learned a hard lesson from this she wolf .

Hed learned that how not being open and honest about his feelings could see ones life ruined and in more ways than one .

Because she and I will have to get to know each other properly , its been a long time since weve seen each other, and Im not about to rush anything with her .

You might want to issue that acceptance of my rejection before then , or youll be inflicting pain upon yourself , so Id just accept it now , hed told her .

She sneered at him .

She laughed at him You think Ill be punished ! But Ill not get a death sentence , and so I will retain your Mark and prevent you from ever having another Mate .

Hed nodded at her .

Parker stated But Im not bound to you anymore .

Im certain it will last for hours and be every night when it does happen .

Hed turned and left her there in the cells , left her to her own thoughts .

Though a part of him wondered if she was actually right , would the Wolfen Council , seeing she was still bound to him , refuse to let him Claim another , even though hed issued his side of the rejection , it could well kill her .

He wasnt certain of that .

We of the Wolfen Council are not going to stop you from claiming another Mate , especially if its your sons mother, and she is willing to accept you back .

What ? Carina gasped as she was man handled into that car .

You cant do that to me .

Im a Luna ranked wolf , and youre bound by Wolfen Laws to protect me .

Gretta turned and smiled at her .

She looked back at Parker .

Please banish her from your pack now , forget about her and move on with your life .

He nodded and turned her rogue , banishing her from his pack .

Shed yelled at him from within that car about him having no right to do so , to turn her away from her own pack .

If it was truly her pack , he couldnt do it .

But she wasnt the one to have inherited the pack and wasnt the Alpha of it .

Hed nodded and as Gretta had turned to leave hed looked at Carina in the back of the car and shaken his head , only to hear her finally issue that acceptance of his rejection .

She couldnt do it unless she was in earshot of him , or looking at him , to have it severed .

He heard Gretta state as she got in the car , and then shed nodded to him and left ..

It was just on a week later when hed received her report and been told he could email Alpha Aston and formally request a meet and greet with Belladonna and his son , Whitney Hunter 3/4 115 Pai 73 Harrington .

Hed mused and wondered how shed come up with their sons name ? Though hed smiled to himself as he thought about it .
