Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1455

After having a moment with Amelia, only then Patrick shifted his gaze to the rest. "Sawyer, I've already brought what you wanted as promised. I'm taking her with me now. Do you have any objections?"

Sawyer replied in a friendly manner, "Both of you can leave as long as it’s proven that there's nothing wrong with the item."

Although Sawyer loathed Patrick, he would not be stupid enough to make a move at this time!

Because at this moment, even if he were to die, he would not believe that Patrick had really come alone!

He had learned his lesson in Florence. He knew that Patrick must have some tricks up in his sleeve!

Although he appeared on the island seemingly alone, who knew if there were any ambushers outside?

There were simply too many open spots to defend from the sea, sky, and land. No matter how confident Sawyer was, there was still no guarantee that his defence was flawless.

It did not matter to him if there was a fight, but what about Sissi and Abner? Could he ensure that they would be safe?

All of these were part of Sawyer's necessary consideration! Since he had a family, he naturally could not risk his life as he had in the past.

It did not matter. There were still many opportunities to deal with Patrick. This time, he had already won back the evidence.

Therefore, Sawyer did not hesitate to promise to let Amelia go.

As for the briefcase on the tea table, when Patrick rushed toward Amelia, he had pulled it over and asked the security guard to take for an inspection by the staff in charge.

"It may take some time to verify the authenticity. Why don't we sit down and have a chat?"

Sawyer's attitude was much better compared to the tension in the atmosphere from a moment ago. It was most likely because he had gotten back the evidence.

Patrick nodded. He turned around and held Amelia's hand, then pulled her to the sofa to sit down.

This time, Sissi was in an even more awkward situation.

Patrick's act of regarding her as invisible fueled her anger and resentment, but she could not vent any of her feelings. All she could do was glare at him and Amelia as they showered each other with affection.

"Sissi." Finally, someone mentioned her name.

Sissi found the voice melodic and pleasant, which pulled her out of the depression from being ignored.

She quickly turned to look at the source of the voice, only to find Sawyer waving at her, "Come and sit."

"Okay!" Sissi hastily agreed, completely unaware that Sawyer had already witnessed her envious look and her wandering gaze.

She hurriedly rushed to Sawyer's side, reached out her hand to hold his arm and intimately pressed him against her chest.

She had done it on purpose!

She wanted Patrick to see that she was being loved!

Unfortunately, Patrick did not even glance in her direction, which made Sissi feel aggrieved, but she quickly came up with an idea.

Patrick did not want to look at her? But if she took the initiative to talk to him, he had to look at her, right?

Sissi cleared her throat and spoke with the elegant air of a goddess, "Mr. Patrick, I haven't seen you for a long time. How are ft you?

Patrick paused for a moment and turned his attractive face toward Sissi.

As expected!

Sissi immediately put her head on Sawyer's shoulder, putting on a lovable act.

"Ms. Roberts?"

She had attracted the gaze from Patrick as she wished. But, Patrick's stare was indifferent as if he was looking at an unimportant person.

And how did he address her?

The conversation could not continue from this point onwards.

If Patrick had answered I don't know', Sissi could go deeper into the topic even if he was only pretending.

But, he said he knew it. So, what more could she say? She could not ask him why he did not come for her even if he had known it. She would look like a b*tch then!

Amelia was also caught by surprise as she did not expect Patrick would be so unceremonious. But that was also ideal, as that way, Sissi could get over Patrick quicker.

The clock on the wall ticked by in silence.

When the guard returned, he whispered in Sawyer's ear, "We found nothing wrong from the inspection."

Sawyer felt relieved, and he immediately said to Patrick, "Mr. Patrick is quite trustworthy."

Patrick asked, "Can we go now?"

"Of course, I'll personally see the two of you out." Sawyer merely replied out of politeness.

Sure enough, Patrick's refusal came a second after. "There's no need to."

As he spoke, he held the hand that he had not let go of since the beginning. He brought Amelia along as they walked past the sofa, bypassing Sissi without looking at her.

Sissi could not sit still and stood up.

She stared at their tightly intertwined hands.

Comparing to her intention of using Sawyer to provoke Patrick, Patrick and Amelia's silent way of showing off their affection for each other infuriated her!

As their figures disappeared behind the door, Sissi could not help but turned back and roared, "Sawyer, are you just going to let them go like this?"

Sawyer's hands were behind his head as he lazily asked, "Does my dear have any other good ideas?"
