Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1504

"Yeah? And what did Gramps talk to you about?" Patrick pretended to be curious.

Because it was he who asked Gramps Hopper to call Amelia. He was worried about letting her stay alone. What if she could not take it?

"Gramps said that..." Amelia wanted to say it directly, but when she saw Patrick's face, she could not help teasing him again. "Guess what?"

How dare was this girl to actually keep him guessing?

If she knew that it was he who arranged the phone call, would she be so ashamed to a point where she wanted to dig a hole and bury herself?

Patrick thought sarcastically while shaking his head pretending to be distressed. "I could hardly read Gramps' mind."

Amelia replied, "I think so too. How can you mortals get along with gramps' thoughts?"

The fact that Amelia was acting arrogant in front of him made Patrick had the sudden impulse to smack her a**.

As his eyes darken, Amelia realized that she was in trouble and stuck her tongue out. She dared not keep him guessing for any longer. "Gramps told me the true story behind him making me as her granddaughter." "Really?" Patrick tried hard in pretending to be interested. "What's the true story? Can you share it with me?"

Amelia was pleased with the way he was eager to listen and immediately said, "Sure, you are also a victim. Oh, no, you should be the beneficiary instead. You have the right to know the truth! It can be said that we are in this way now all because of Gramps."

What did she mean by 'all because of Gramps'? He was completely unconvinced!

Only later did he realize that Gramps Hopper had taken Amelia as his granddaughter in order to increase their chances of contact. However, if it were not for his persistence in winning back Amelia's heart, would they still be able to reunite?

He had put in so much effort, yet his dear wife had claimed that it was all the old man's credit. He was pissed!

However, Amelia did not notice his displeasure. She only rambled about Gramps Hopper's painstaking efforts. Then, she said emotionally, "Alas, I've misunderstood Gramps all the way, thinking that he looks fierce and has a bad temper. I had not expected that a cool guy would also have a soft heart."

Was Gramps Hopper a cool guy?! He did not have a soft heart either!

Patrick glared at her.

However, Amelia did not know why he did so. She even advised him in a serious tone, "Don't make Gramps angry ever again. Do you hear me?"

What the h*ll!

Patrick silently turned his handsome face away.

"Alas, you are really stubborn." Amelia shook her head in disappointment.

Patrick finally could not suppress the anger in his heart. He turned to face her and asked, "What about me?"

Amelia blinked her eyes, apparently not understanding what he meant.

As Patrick met her bewildered eyes, he suddenly calmed down.

All that he had done for Amy was originally his will!

He had done too many evil things, and would result in all the evil consequences. He deserved such a hard time in winning her wife back!

Furthermore, the old man did give him a chance to get closer to Amelia. What could he be dissatisfied with?

B*tch?

Was he referring to his wife, Fiona?

Kaleb immediately realized that it was inappropriate and changed his words. "I mean to ask if you've seen Aunt Fiona? You are a guest, how could you be the one to open the door?"

Brittany observed Kaleb's expression from the side and found that he could not hide his dissatisfaction when he mentioned about Fiona. He had even no emotions in his eyes.

Kaleb and Fiona were an old couple. Brittany thought that even if he no longer had love for Fiona, they would still have family affection. However, Kaleb did not have such affection in his eyes at all.

Brittany answered while having the thoughts, "Oh, Aunt Fiona is taking a bath."

"Why is she still showering at this time?" Kaleb's eyes widened. Of course, it was not for Brittany.

Brittany answered in embarrassment, "Because Aunt had let me use the bathroom first, so her shower time was delayed."

In this way, it was not appropriate for Kaleb to show his anger. "It's okay. You are a guest, and she should indeed take good care of you. By the way, did she clean the room for you today?"

Brittany nodded and said, "Yes, Aunt Fiona had made my room really neat."

"Well, that's good. If it gets dirty again, you may ask her to clean it at any time."

When Kaleb talked about Fiona, he sounded as if treating Fiona as his servant was a very normal thing. Brittany felt a little strange but still replied with a smile, "Okay, got it! Are you tired? Would you like me to pour you a glass of water?"

Kaleb replied with a gratified tone, "Thanks! Brittany, you're indeed sensible!"
