After Rachel was done checking in, she handed the room card to Tyler.

“Mr. Hunt, I’m now your company’s project assistant. Please let me know how I can be of assistance to you,” she said in all seriousness.

Tyler’s face was dark with displeasure, and he muttered sullenly, “How you can be of assistance, you say?

Is that how it is?”

Rachel saw the dangerous glint in his eyes and suddenly had a bad feeling. She quickly clarified herself.” That’s in terms of work and not ridiculous personal demands. You can forget about that.”

Tyler smiled wickedly, his face half–shrouded in the dim lighting, making him look even more dangerous.

“Don’t worry. I’m so glad to see you so supportive of my work. Why would I make ridiculous demands of you? Come on, we’ll head over once we drop our luggage. Oh, yes, please book a bouquet for me online. I

want roses.”

Rachel was stunned, but she nodded once she recovered from her initial shock.

“Sure.”

She walked right in front while Yale and Tyler followed behind her.

Yale whispered into Tyler’s ear, “Mr. Hunt, Ms. Lloyd is being way too serious about this.”

Tyler’s brows were furrowed as he cast Yale a side glance. “You’d better get your act together.”

Yale straightened his back at Tyler’s warning. “Yes, Mr. Hunt.”

When they returned to their rooms, Rachel put her luggage down and ordered a bouquet of roses for Tyler. The thought of him giving a bouquet to another woman made her feel slightly uncomfortable.

She took one more look at the roses. Men usually give roses to women they love. Tyler was giving this bouquet on top of a bottle of perfume to a client. Wasn’t he worried that the client would misunderstand?

Or…

Rachel’s eyes widened.

Was Tyler trying to seduce the client?!

But given his abilities, there was no need for him to use such cheap tactics. What exactly was this man trying to do?

Out of curiosity, or something else Rachel couldn’t quite put a finger on, she couldn’t stop herself from texting Yale.

Yale thought that Rachel might be panicking because they had stolen Tyler’s stamp before.

On second thought, Rachel realized that sending a text message might leave evidence behind and decided that calling was a better idea. She dialed Yale’s number, and he answered the call very quickly.

Unsure of the soundproofing of the room, Yale asked in hushed tones, “Ms. Lloyd, is there a problem somewhere?”

“No, don’t worry. I just wanted to ask… Is Mr. Hunt usually so detailed? Does he always pay such close attention to the personal preferences of business partners?”

As a man, Yale wasn’t bogged down by unnecessary and complicated details. He said honestly and straightforwardly, “Ms. Lloyd, you must be joking. Mr. Hunt always cuts to the chase. He’s always clear in his focus on the project proposal. He lets his abilities speak for themselves and never wastes his time on such tactics. If he had a habit of doing that, the company would have closed down long ago.”

Rachel thought what Yale said made sense. If Tyler did things this way and neglected to uphold the project quality, LS Enterprise would never have lasted that long or grown to such a scale in Yurelia City.

In that case, why was he behaving like this right now?

Rachel just couldn’t figure out why Tyler was doing this, no matter how hard she tried. She decided to just ask Yale for his opinion.

“Yale, why do you think Mr. Hunt is giving the business partner roses and perfume?”

After pondering for a moment, Yale said, “Ms. Lloyd, you’ve stumped me. I don’t know, either. Mr. Hunt is behaving quite strangely this time, but perhaps he’s just taking a different approach. He might think that understanding the business partner’s preferences might accelerate project progress.”
