Chapter 780
Tyler lay on her thighs. Rachel inhaled sharply at the weight on her legs.
He was…
He was heavy.
But it was only to be expected, given his towering height.
Rachel bore the weight all the way to their apartment. Despite the burden, the sight of Tyler sleeping soundly made her find it all worth it.
Tyler’s sleep disorder caused him to sleep less than the normal amount. Coupled with work that kept him busy, he wasn’t left with much time for rest.
When he woke up, he saw Rachel staring at him. He sat up straight, took a deep breath, and gently massaged her legs.
Rachel instinctively evaded his touch. Numbness spread across her thighs, and she clenched her fists.
The pins and needles…
Damn it.
Although she tried to remain as calm as possible, Tyler was right before her, and she could hide nothing from him.
His gaze landed on her legs. “Are they all numb?”
Rachel nodded awkwardly. “A little.”
Tyler pulled her into his arms. “Why didn’t you wake me up?”
Rachel leaned against his chest. “You were sleeping so soundly, I couldn’t bear to.”
Tyler lowered his head and kissed the top of her head.
“I hope you’ll prioritize yourself in all things. Do you know what I mean?”
Rachel sat stunned for a moment before nodding. “Yeah.”
Tyler patted her shoulder. “I’ll carry you in.”
Rachel found it pretentious of her, so she awkwardly waved his suggestion off. “No, I can walk by myself.” Tyler ignored her and carried her out of the car. Yale followed them.
“Mr. Hunt, I’ll bring your luggage cases in.”
“Okay.”
Rachel’s face flushed as she stayed in Tyler’s arms. She was still a very conservative woman by nature, despite

being with Tyler for a while now. Whenever he resorted to public displays of affection, she always felt awkward.
She buried her face in his chest, only pecking out to ask coyly, “Can you please put me down?”
“What are you afraid of? Yale won’t laugh at you. I’ll fire him if he dares.”
Tyler carried Rachel all the way into the apartment. Ray charged toward them, pouncing eagerly on Tyler.
Ray wasn’t exactly light to begin with. Tyler would have been able to withstand his weight if not for Rachel in his arms. He stumbled a few steps back, almost falling to the floor.
“Ray, calm down!” Wanda yelled anxiously. “Can’t you see your daddy carrying your mommy? If they both fall, I’ll see who will buy you your food!”
Ray immediately stopped and sat down obediently, eyes shining bright as he stared eagerly at Tyler and Rachel, looking ecstatic.
Rachel patted Tyler’s shoulder. “Quick, put me down.”
Tyler finally did so and started massaging her legs.
“How do you feel? Better?”
Rachel hadn’t gotten used to Tyler taking such great care of her. She reached out to press his hand down and looked shyly at Wanda, who was chuckling to herself.
Yale looked as though he had seen a ghost.
