Chapter 319 The Perfect Timing
Gianna felt hurt when she heard this. She wanted to save a bit of face, so she spoke confidently, “Mr. Curran, that’s not fair. You have to learn the theory before doing any experiments.
“I can explain and show you all at the same time.”
She had a reason to be confident. To get on this show, she had practiced a lot with her mother.
She just needed to listen to her mother explain and then repeat it while doing a few simple steps herself. It
wasn’t too hard.
“Really? Then go ahead and start,” Jeremy pushed again.
He didn’t usually interfere. He didn’t like being stuck around a group of women.
But Gianna was Amelia’s sworn enemy. Almost every day, she tried some trick to trick or frame Amelia.
Now that he had a chance to defend Amelia, Jeremy wasn’t going to ignore it.
No one noticed that at the far edge, Sabrina’s expression had changed. She saw Jeremy keep speaking up for Amelia and go hard against Gianna.
It didn’t sit well with her.
Gianna stayed arrogant. She started explaining and even pretended to demonstrate the steps.
Amelia, meanwhile, quietly counted to three in her head.
One, two, three!
On three, Regina had been telling Gianna what to do next.
Then Gianna suddenly realized the voice in her ear had stopped.
“And then, water control is also …”
Regina’s signal and voice had been cut off, and Gianna’s words stumbled.
“What’s wrong? You were talking so smoothly a moment ago. Why are you stuttering now?”
Jeremy noticed it instantly.
He looked at Amelia, not needing her to say anything. He just spoke for her right away.
Amelia felt warmth in her chest. Her eyes softened without her realizing it.
“N-no, that’s not it. I was just thinking about something,” Gianna said.
She suddenly felt like she’d lost all her bearings. Panic crept back in.
Hadn’t Mom said that with all the cameras and crew around, Amelia wouldn’t dare use a jammer?
But why did all the crew’s equipment and instruments seem to be working fine?
Right now, Gianna couldn’t figure out what was happening. Her heart raced with unease.
She had no idea that Amelia had already guessed this woman would try the same trick.
That’s why Amelia did nothing at the start. She let Gianna and Regina relax and drop their guard.
She waited until they became overconfident, thinking their plan was perfect, and then struck.
They were right about one thing: with so many people and devices around, it wasn’t smart for Amelia to turn on a jammer here.
But just because it wouldn’t work here didn’t mean it wouldn’t work on Regina’s side.
Maybe Regina had gotten too confident, or maybe she just underestimated Amelia.
Tsk. Amelia had already arranged for Tyler to turn on a jammer on Regina’s side.
She could be sure that, before the show ended, they wouldn’t be able to communicate.
“Gianna, what’s wrong? Are you feeling sick?” Miguel asked, worried.
