Chapter 324 Send Gianna Away

Emery knew Marcelo always had his own way of thinking. Out of the three, he was the most careful and the most talented.

But he had never talked to her so sharply before. Being talked back to again and again by her son made her feel hurt and upset.

Emery said, “When Gianna comes back, I’ll talk to her. But as her brothers, you should take the lead first.”

Marcelo shot back, “Take the lead? Like that’s going to work. It’d be better if she just stopped sticking to us all the time.

“Or maybe we should just send her away. Buy her a house somewhere else so we don’t have to live together. That’d make things easier.”

He was already tired of Gianna. Now that she’d gotten him involved in this trouble, his dislike for her hit the roof.

“H-how can you even say we should send Gianna away?” Emery asked, shocked.

“If Amelia could be pushed away, it’s no big deal. She’s just an adopted sister. Sending her off is already being nice,” he said coldly.

“Marcelo, what’s wrong with you? Didn’t you used to like Gianna?” Maxwell asked, stunned.

He thought he’d heard

wrong.

“Yeah, you’ve always treated Gianna the best. Why are you acting so cold now?” Emery added.

She couldn’t believe it either. Sure, this whole mess was big, but it wasn’t bad enough to throw someone out.

She was angry at them-and at herself-for not teaching them better or stopping this behavior sooner.

But still, she couldn’t put all the blame on Gianna,

“You two really don’t get it, do you? You still think Gianna’s as innocent as you believe?” Marcelo said.

Amelia had warned him many times before. But he’d ignored her, thinking she was just trying to stir trouble.

Looking at them now felt like watching his old foolish self.

He’d planned to stay quiet and see how long they’d keep being blind.

That was Marcelo’s little twisted fun.

But now that Gianna had dragged him into trouble again, he didn’t mind speaking plainly.

“W-what are you talking about?” one of them asked.

Marcelo shot back, “What do I mean? Look at all the recent problems. Which one didn’t have her involved?

“Amelia was forced to leave. She still won’t speak to us. Who’s responsible for that?

“Mom, you grew up in a rich family. Don’t tell me you’ve never seen scheming. Amelia got pushed out- who benefits the most from that, huh?”

Marcelo kept talking, one sentence after another, and Emery was completely stunned.

It was true she grew up in a rich family, spoiled like a princess, and had never seen much scheming in the

world.

But his words hit something deep inside her, like a shell starting to crack.

If Amelia left, who gained the most?

Was it … Gianna?

Even if Amelia didn’t leave, she had never treated Gianna badly, no matter what.

“Think about why Isabel ended the engagement,” Marcelo added.

Seeing her still confused, he felt disappointed.

It seemed like Gianna’s influence on his mother ran deeper than he expected.

He didn’t want to argue anymore. He had said all he could. If Emery still didn’t understand, more talking would be pointless.

With that, he walked upstairs.

The two left behind were still trying to understand what he meant. They kept thinking about his words.

“Maxwell, tell the truth. Why did Isabel call off the engagement with Marcelo? Didn’t you say it was just because they didn’t get along?”

Emery turned to Maxwell, her face serious.

“How would I know? She’s not my girlfriend. Ask Marcelo. Why ask me?”

Maxwell pointed at himself, confused.

He still didn’t understand why he and Patience had broken up. Why would he know anything about someone else’s breakup?

“Never mind. I shouldn’t have asked you, you dummy. I wish I’d eaten more walnuts when I was pregnant with you.”

Emery had completely given up on him. She shook her head and turned, walking upstairs.

Maxwell felt wronged as hell.
