Chapter 333: Gianna Inherited Regina’s Talent

“People are still gossiping about our family. You need to be careful. Don’t give anyone a reason to use this against you,” Emery warned sharply, her tone laced with concern.

So that was the real issue behind all the tension?

Miguel gave a slight shrug, his expression relaxed and unconcerned. “I just glanced at it on my phone. It’s all nonsense. We don’t have to lose sleep over it.”

“We’ve always been close, haven’t we? I don’t see why this should be a problem. Some people are just stirring the pot, trying to create drama.”

Emery’s temper flared instantly at his casual dismissal. “You really think that’s okay?” she snapped, unable to hide the frustration simmering beneath her words.

Lately, whispers had been swirling among the social circles, mocking her behind her back. The thought of being the subject of such ridicule was driving her to the brink of madness.

She had only just begun to calm down when the anger reignited fiercely.

“Gianna, be honest with me. Are you doing this on purpose with your brothers? Why would you even do something like that?” Emery demanded, her voice trembling with a mix of hurt and disbelief.

Having grown up sheltered and pampered, Emery had never learned the subtle manipulations people played in high society. Now, overwhelmed by emotion, she spoke without any filter, letting her feelings pour out raw and unguarded.

Gianna hadn’t anticipated the situation escalating so quickly.

“Mom, I didn’t mean for it to get this out of hand,” she said softly, her voice tinged with regret. “Since we were little, I’ve always been close to my brothers. I thought it would just bring us closer as a family.”

She paused, her eyes glistening with sincerity. “I never wanted anyone else to misunderstand. I promise I won’t do it anymore, okay?”

Her earnestness, mixed with a hint of vulnerability, made it hard for anyone watching not to feel sympathy for her.

But Emery wasn’t ready to let it go just yet. She pressed further, her tone sharp with doubt. “If you didn’t mean anything by it, then why do you always interfere whenever Marcelo is with Isabel?”

“One or two times, maybe it was a coincidence,” Emery continued, her voice rising. “But every single time? Are you seriously telling me that’s just chance?”

Gianna’s heart beat wildly in her chest.

Had something happened during that reality show she wasn’t aware of?

Why bring up Marcelo and Isabel now, of all times?

Despite the rising panic, she forced herself to stay composed.

“I really didn’t mean any harm,” she replied quietly. “You know I was always weak and sickly before, and I’ve just always been very close to my brothers. We’ve grown up together.”

She looked down, struggling to hold back tears. “I never did anything intentionally. Maybe it’s just a misunderstanding? Mom, I’ll change whatever you want. Please believe me.”

“When I first moved into the Nygard Residence, everything felt so strange and frightening. I was scared of making mistakes and being cast out. Losing this home would have been unbearable.”

Her voice cracked as she fought back tears. “So whenever something big or small happened, I’d run to them. Having their support helped me become who I am today.”

Gianna’s words carried a heartfelt weight, revealing the depth of her emotions.
