Harriet turned her head and saw Camille's gloating expression.
This woman was really beautiful, even if she was laughing at others, it was still impossible to ignore the charm on Camille’s face.
Harriet stared at her face and said blankly, "What are you doing here?"
Camille stepped forward, scanned a stack of documents on the table, and said lightly, "Of course I came to sign a contract with Pleasure Media. I thought I might become a colleague of you, but I didn't expect you are so boring and useless. It’s a shame that Boss Wesley has supported you for so many years, but you haven’t become famous."
Harriet was disappointed when she heard these words. As soon as she resigned, someone came to replace her vacancy.
But as expected, there were many people fighting for what Harriet turned down. Wesley might be suggesting that she was just a dispensable person.
"Congratulations." Harriet didn't want to talk nonsense with Camille, and was about to leave with the contract.
"That's it?" Camille raised her eyebrows provocatively, "So you are nothing more than this."
Harriet tilted her head and looked directly into Camille Brown’s eyes, "So, do you have anything to advise?"
Camille approached Harriet step by step, "No advice, but I just want to remind you that if you are out of this door, there is no second entertainment company willing to hire you. Have you figured it out?"
"Don't worry! You should handle your own scandal first."
Harriet said mercilessly. If she remembers correctly, there were rumors about Camille broke up with the original company and then terminated the contract.
"You have nowhere to go, but you can speak so well, it's no wonder that Wesley Smith has been interested in you for so long." Camille chuckled and raised her chin, "Let me guess, did you seduce him as you do now when you were with him? Hey, I was really stupid in the past."
“In the past?”
Camille seemed to have achieved her goal, and said with a smile, "Are you curious? In fact, there is nothing to hide. In the past, Mr. Wesley Smith and I were in the same relationship as you and him now."
Harriet was startled.
In the past? the same relationship? Did it mean Camille was in a relationship with Wesley?
Harriet vaguely remembered that when she was still in art school, she heard that Wesley Smith had a secret lover. But since they were all unsubstantiated rumors, they only talked about it in private, and she was not impressed.
"Thanks to Wesley Smith, I have the current reputation. I kindly advise you, don’t be ignorant of current affairs, and stay in Pleasure Media for a few years. Although you don’t have my talent, you still can have a promising future in the entertainment industry."
These words of Camille sounded like exhortation, but they broke Harriet's heart.
Harriet's clenched her fist loosened and tightened again.
Sure enough, Harriet couldn't be calm, especially when Wesley Smith was involved.
"Miss Camille, you don't need to worry about Harriet's future." Molly Bush interrupted in time, "Excuse me, we have other things to deal with now."
Camille slowly gave way, squinting her lips, "Harriet, I warn you one last sentence. If you want to enter Pop Culture Group in the future, I won't give you any chance."
Harriet sneered, "Are you sure? In your tone, you are the boss of Pop Culture Group?"
"Harriet, are you okay?" Molly was watching her expression, worried.
Harriet forced a relief, smirking, and stepped forward, "It's okay, let's go."
When she walked out of the gate of Pop Culture Group, Harriet felt relieved, but at the same time she also understood that she was completely destitute this time.
It was not easy to terminate the contract halfway. The liquidated damage was huge. Fortunately, Harriet had saved a lot under the grant of Wesley over the years, which was enough to cover the liquidated damage.
Everyone thought she has lost a big opportunity, but in her opinion, it was really a bargain to exchange a sum of money for her longing freedom. Harriet originally thought Wesley would trouble her, but now it seemed that he was just tired of her. So he would not force her to stay as stubbornly as before.
Putting aside all the worries for the time being, Harriet stretched out her hands for a taxi. But she was not lucky; several taxis passing by were occupied.
Not far away, Wesley was sitting inside a black Ferrari from the underground parking lot, watching her waiting for a taxi at the company gate.
Jack saw Wesley's expression in the rear-view mirror and asked, "Mr. Wesley Smith, it seems that Ms. Harriet can't get a taxi."
Wesley didn't respond, so Jack shut up.
On the back seat, Camille Brown squinted slightly, and said unhurriedly, "It doesn't matter to Mr. Wesley Smith if she can get a taxi or not. Besides, don't you think she is popular? It's not our turn to worry about her."
She seemed right. Another black car slowly stopped in front of Harriet. Bryant Fox's slightly teasing face revealed, and Harriet got into the car.
Looking at this scene, the gloom in Wesley's eyes became more intense.
