Ariel met Jayson’s gaze. There was a look of indifference in those eyes. He was waiting for Ariel’s reply.
Honestly, Ariel was not that surprised to see Jayson react this way. He probably thought Ariel had crossed the line with what she did today.
Ariel had already signed the divorce agreement two months ago. Finally, Jayson had informed her of the time and date for them to proceed with the divorce procedures.
However, it was because of Nancy that Jayson finally decided to end their relationship cleanly and stop wasting each other’s time.
“Yeah, sure.” Ariel nodded.
They should have done it a long time ago. Everything would be resolved as soon as they visited the courthouse and got divorced.
It was Saturday today, and the courthouse was closed for the day. Otherwise, Ariel was sure Jayson would want to head over and settle the procedures immediately.
Upon seeing how calm she appeared, Jayson scoffed. “Alright. Don’t be late.”
He paused briefly and continued, “As for the spot for the liver transplant operation…”
“I’m not giving away that spot. With how capable you are, I’m sure you can think of some other ways to resolve your issues.” This was what Ariel was concerned about now.
Jayson had agreed to meet at the courthouse and complete the divorce procedures. However, he might not back down regarding the matter of the transplant operation.
Ariel’s eyes turned red at the thought of that. Yet, she kept her gaze fixed on Jayson. She was fiercely stubborn.
Jayson looked at her silently for quite some time. Eventually, he said, “Fine, you can have the spot for the liver transplant operation. You don’t have to worry about that anymore.”
This time, Ariel was sincerely shocked.
She had hit Nancy right in front of Jayson’s eyes just now. Yet, he decided to return the spot to her. Judging by Nancy’s attitude earlier, she would never agree to it.
However, Jayson did not offer any explanation. He turned around and strode off.
Ariel sighed in relief as she watched his receding figure.

Ariel shook her head and tried not to think too much about it.
Ariel did not tell Katie about the incident involving Leonard’s transplant operation. She would not want Katie to get too upset anyway. Everything was good now since the problem had been resolved.
As for her hitting Nancy, Ariel had not noticed Jayson or Nancy taking any subsequent actions. It seemed like Nancy had not reported the incident to the police either.
Ariel was not exactly worried about it. Nancy did not necessarily have the upper hand if she planned to escalate the issue.
Moreover, Nancy could not risk revealing her relationship with Jayson Going to the police meant all those things would be dug up and investigated.
Also, one could not expect everyone to be tight–lipped. If rumors about the three of them started spreading, it would only hurt Nancy’s reputation.
Ariel reckoned Jayson was in a hurry to get divorced because he was upset about her hitting Nancy. Secondly, Jayson was probably trying to make sure Nancy would not be that affected if the words of their relationship had gotten out.
Ariel could not be bothered with what Jayson was planning to do. There was still one more issue she had to tackle.
Ariel checked her phone. After she had sent the message to Jayson last night, Jayson had yet to answer whether he would sell her the emerald ring.
