Chapter 414

Ariel was quite surprised that Jayson would actually be kind enough to warn her about these things. After all, they normally stayed out of each other’s business, with clear boundaries between them. So, what exactly made Jayson think he had the right to say these things to her now?

Ariel furrowed her brows. She felt that Jayson had overstepped his boundaries. Mr. Larkin, why should I even listen to you?

Ariel was clearly mocking him, and Jayson could tell. However, he wasn’t going to answer that question. He turned slightly and gazed at her. He sounded calm as he said, Ariel, I won’t harm you.

She mused that Jayson ought to reacquaint himself with the definition of harm. Ariel didn’t even care to debate him. She disregarded his comment and departed.

Ariel had always been very careful, whether it was about work or making friends. She might not know much about Samson. However, there was nothing much she could criticize about him so far. Given that Samson represented a significant partner company, Ariel simply couldn’t comprehend Jayson’s remark.

With so many people and companies she might collaborate with, Jayson couldn’t realistically warn her about every new partnership.

When the summit concluded, Ariel and Chad weren’t interested in any postevent parties or gatherings, so they decided to leave. i

At the entrance, they saw Cedric, engulfed by a crowd, preparing to depart with Nancy and Jayson beside him.

Noticing Ariel exit the building, Cedric slowly looked her way. However, he snorted the moment his eyes landed on her, then turned and entered his car. His intense dislike for Ariel was unconcealed, a fact Nancy also observed.

Perhaps Cedric, having experienced much in life, had a good eye for people and could discern those with wicked intentions. Someone like him wouldn’t bother hiding his likes and dislikes. On the other hand, Carlos was a poorer judge of character than Cedric in that regard.

Jayson’s car pulled up shortly afterward.

Jayson looked at Chad and nodded. Mr. Hockney, let’s have a chat again some other time.

He didn’t say anything to Ariel before leaving with Nancy.

Chad opened the car door for Ariel. He shook his head. Mr. Warbrooke still has that nasty temper. You shouldn’t mind about what happened.

Most geniuses were quirky, eccentric characters. Some of them could be quite demanding and unreasonable sometimes. As someone who was younger, they needed to show people like Cedric proper respect.

Ariel hadn’t taken any offense. She wasn’t going to live her life being overly concerned about what others thought of her.

Finding Sarah’s painting was Ariel’s next goal, and she planned to start working on it in the following days. She had to give it a shot, regardless of the outcome.

Ariel had more issues to worry about ever since she took over Nexura Solutions. Fortunately, she had kept Tom and some of the original staff around to help her manage and handle a lot of things.

When she and Janice came to Nexura Tower to sign some contracts and agreements, Ariel found out about another thingCedric would act as Veyo Solutionstechnical advisor. The news about it had been circulating.

Janice snickered in exasperation. Jayson’s really smart. He managed to get someone with an impressive

background and résumé like Mr. Warbrooke to be Veyo Solutionsadvisor.

It’ll create a buzz for Veyo Solutionssubsequent project. At the very least, the project’s quality is guaranteed, and they’ll be gaining a lot of attention for it.

Ariel flipped through the latest contracts Tom had passed to her. She remarked objectively, With Mr. Warbrooke on their team, Veyo Solutions wouldn’t have to stay on the sidelines anymore. Even if he hadn’t agreed to become Nancy’s supervisor, they’d still be able to improve Nancy’s reputation and increase her exposure by doing this.

That was exactly what Jayson was trying to achieve. It was to help Nancy turn the tables after the incident.

If it weren’t for Jayson, Nancy wouldn’t be able to turn things around so easily.

I think Jayson probably has to repay with a huge favor in exchange for Mr. Warbrooke coming out of retirement. He’s doing all sorts of things, getting in your way just to support Nancy.

Janice scoffed, adding, Without him, Nancy wouldn’t even get the chance to meet you at her level of knowledge and expertise.

With Ariel being a rare, oneinamillion genius, most of the other geniuses paled in comparison to her.

Ariel tried to cheer Janice up.
