Jayson's expression was heavy as he scanned the area below. Ariel was still missing. With someone hunting him so relentlessly, he knew he needed to be even more cautious in his actions.

He looked at Wade. "Mr. Garner, how did you end up here?"

Wade didn't take his eyes off the control panel. "Janice asked me to come in and find Ms. Walker. I thought you two were together."

Jayson felt his heart sink again. Clearly, Ariel was still unaccounted for.

"I haven't found her yet," he muttered, his gaze dropping to the wedding ring on his finger.

Wade continued, "I've searched the west and south sides, but there's no sign of Ms. Walker. Where did you come from, Mr. Larkin?"

This area wasn't huge, but it wasn't small either. With the chaos now, people were scattered everywhere, so finding someone was no easy task.

Jayson frowned, thinking hard. "Then we've covered different directions."

Wade checked the coordinates and added, "There were locals with Ms. Walker, colleagues who evacuated together. One person is hard to track, but there's a whole team, and so far none of them have been reached."

Jayson's gaze sharpened. "If it were the whole team, someone would have contacted HQ by now. The fact that no one has suggests that this situation is far from simple."

If Ariel were alone, the chance of an accident would be high. But with so many people unaccounted for, it raised red flags. Under normal circumstances, finding that many people shouldn't be too difficult.

Jayson's gaze darkened. "Is it possible that they're no longer in this area?"

Wade paused to think.

Half an hour ago, he had received word that military personnel had been dispatched to search, but there were still no results.

In that case, Jayson's suspicions seemed increasingly likely.
