Around 7:20 pm, a Rolls–Royce pulled up in front of the Fenwick estate. 

Lucien stepped out of the car, followed by another person from the passenger seat. 

Seeing them arrive at last, Wendy quickly walked over and affectionately to 

have a seat. 

Ophelia’s hand. “We’ve been waiting for you two. Come, 

“Lucien, let me introduce you. This is Hattie’s son, Alexander. You two used to fight all the time when you were kids.”

Alexander narrowed his eyes as he looked at Lucien, his presence exuding a cold, distant air. 

Neither of them spoke a single word. They simply stared at each other in silence. 

Although they stood just a few feet apart, those nearby could sense an invisible barrier between them. 

After a long pause, Hattie nudged Alexander and softly asked, “What are you spacing out for?” 

Alexander merely nodded and said, “Nice to meet you.” 

Lucien’s sharp gaze swept over him in silence as he walked past. 

Three minutes later, Serena came down the stairs with her cane and silently took the seat at the head of the table. 

Ophelia sat beside Lucien. 

Serena then instructed, “Start serving.” 

Lydia responded, “Yes, Mrs. Fenwick Senior.” 

Wendy chimed in quickly, “Exactly. Lucien and Calista are divorced now, and Fenwick Group can’t go without a hostess forever. It wouldn’t look good for Lucien to be alone. 

“Elia’s just thinking of what’s best for you. She’ll join the family sooner or later anyway.” 

Serena’s expression darkened. 

Lucien, who had been silent for some time, finally spoke. “We’re not divorced.” 

Wendy thought she had misheard him. She raised her voice and asked, “What did you say? You’re not divorced? Didn’t you both sign the divorce agreement?” 

“You’re not divorced, and you bring a woman who has nothing to do with you back to the Fenwick estate like this?” Serena stood up in fùry, nearly slamming the table. “Where does that leave your wife? Don’t forget who your real wife is. Acting like this will only break her heart! 

“No wonder she didn’t hesitate to sign the agreement when I put it in front of her. Do you even know that Calista just—” 

“Calista? What’s with that woman now? Did she go and say something to Serena again? That troublesome woman just has to run to her with every little complaint,” Wendy thought.
