Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 170

“Starting the job?”

Bradley glanced over at her, noting how she still looked so frail and motionless, his brow furrowing. “Are you sure about that?”

Charlotte’s eyes shone with sincerity. “We had an agreement. You give me the microchip, I keep my promise and start working for you. I intend to hold up my end.”

A promise…

So that’s how she saw it—dividing everything so precisely, never blurring the lines.

Bradley’s tone was steady. “If you’re certain you’re ready, I’ll make arrangements.”

“Tomorrow is fine.”

Charlotte had no intention of being indebted to him. She wanted to jump straight into work, to fulfill her part of the deal as quickly as possible.

Bradley studied her earnest expression, his gaze growing darker and more unreadable.

He pulled out his phone and sent a message.

After a moment, as if thinking of something, he said carefully, “If you’re willing, come with me to an auction tomorrow. You can choose any item you like as a welcome gift for joining the team.”

“An auction?”

The word triggered a memory—Darren had mentioned something back in the hospital, about buying that Haimo Blue diamond for Xena.

Charlotte instinctively recoiled at the thought of running into them.

She was about to refuse when Bradley added, “I’d also like to take the opportunity to make our relationship public. Of course, if you’re uncomfortable with that, I’ll respect your wishes.”

Realization flickered in Charlotte’s eyes. He was probably worried she’d betray him for Darren, that if their marriage became public, it would force her to pick a side and put an end to her wavering.

She didn’t refuse again. “Alright.”

Exactly as he wanted.

After all, he had helped her.

Bradley fished a tissue from his pocket, casually wiping the water from his forehead. His voice was calm, unbothered. “It’s nothing.”

People bustled through the hospital lobby, but Charlotte’s mind felt blank, her surroundings fading into silence—until a cold, mocking laugh cut through the stillness.

“Word is, the great Dr. Bradley keeps his distance from women. Funny, he seems pretty attentive now.”

Charlotte and Bradley both looked up at the same moment.

Darren strode toward them, tall and rigid, his steps heavy with anger. He stopped just a few feet from Charlotte and, with a flick of his wrist, tossed a folder onto her lap.

The bold heading read: **Notice of Restored Identity**

The document inside stated: **Ms. Charlotte Lawson, erroneously declared deceased two years ago, has been confirmed alive following investigation. As of today, all legal rights and identity are hereby restored.**

Charlotte’s eyes widened as she read. He had reinstated her identity.

Darren and Bradley faced off, Darren’s voice cold and possessive. “The woman you married, Lottie, was never real. Charlotte belongs to me, Darren. From now on, she won’t need your care.”
