Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 229

Noah looked into Charlotte’s icy eyes, then turned to Darren, tears brimming and threatening to spill.

Every cruel word he’d ever thrown at Charlotte, every terrible thing he’d done, replayed like a brand burned into his mind.

He couldn’t bring himself to say “Mom” again, not after everything—not when he feared the disappointment in his father’s eyes even more.

“Noah…”

Lena stepped forward, voice tentative and filled with hope.

The moment Noah saw her, the dam inside him burst. He sobbed, the words tumbling out: “Lena, hold me—please—”

Lena swept him into her arms, her own voice thick with emotion. “Noah, you finally remembered me! It’s okay, I’m here—you’re safe with me.”

She soothed him, gently rubbing his back, but shot Charlotte a look full of resentment.

Charlotte ignored their little reunion completely. Her gaze was cold as she turned to Darren and held out her hand. “Give me the written agreement.”

Darren’s throat bobbed as he swallowed, tamping down a storm of emotions. He turned to the guard at the door. “Bring me some paper and a pen.”

The guard rushed to obey, returning quickly with what Darren needed.

Darren sat at the edge of the bed, head bowed as he wrote. When he finished, he didn’t hand the paper over right away. Instead, he hesitated, thinking for a moment, then added three words beneath his signature, writing them out carefully: “I love you.”

He pressed his thumb into the ink pad and stamped both his signature and those words with a heavy hand.

Charlotte took the agreement, and when her eyes flicked over those three words, her brow furrowed sharply—but she said nothing. Calm and cold, she pointed to a blank space on the page. “Add this: If you ever harass Ryan again, you agree to transfer all your property and liquid assets to Ryan as compensation.”

Darren watched her retreating figure, fists clenched, then slowly released them, fighting the urge to run after her. He still had questions for Noah.

“Don’t go!” Noah suddenly cried out, his voice raw and desperate as he called after Charlotte. “Don’t go… Charlotte… don’t leave…”

But Charlotte didn’t pause for even a second. Her wheelchair rolled out the door, her silhouette vanishing from sight, leaving behind only her faint, weightless words:

“I have to pick up my son, Ryan. He’s my only child.”

Panic seized Noah. He threw off the covers, shouting until his throat was hoarse, “Mom! Mom!”

“Noah!” Lena caught him just in time, stopping him from falling out of bed.

“Noah, don’t be sad. Your mother is heartless—she doesn’t want you, and you shouldn’t want her either!”
