Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 259

Inside the grand hall of the World Jade Expo, every gaze was fixed on the stage.

The event director, microphone in hand, addressed the audience in flawless Avalorian: “Thank you, distinguished guests, for joining us at the Griffith Family World Jade Expo.”

“The Griffith Group has built its legacy on jade, earning a reputation in the jewelry world for over a century through unmatched expertise in gemstone appraisal. Generation after generation, each family head has led us to new heights with their extraordinary talent. Today’s World Jade Expo marks the ultimate trial for our new heir.”

“Please welcome Ms. Gladys Griffith to the stage to demonstrate the Griffith Group’s renowned gemstone appraisal skills. We hope this is the day she finally passes the family patriarch’s test!”

A wave of hushed conversation rippled through the crowd:

“They hold this expo every year, and she’s shown off her skills more than twenty times. She’s always flawless, but somehow, she never manages to meet the old patriarch’s standards.”

“The old man’s not getting any younger. If he doesn’t officially pass the title to her soon, I wouldn’t be surprised if things get turbulent within the Griffith Group.”

“Maybe this year he’ll finally relent. There’s no one else in her generation who even comes close to Gladys.”

Amid the murmurs, Gladys appeared in a deep wine-red gown that swept the floor, a feathered hat perched elegantly atop her head. Each of her ten fingers sparkled with rings set in different colored gemstones; every gesture exuded wealth and poise.

Trailing behind her was her personal attendant, who, with a subtle lift of the eyes, locked briefly onto Darren before lowering their gaze once more.

Meanwhile, Charlotte’s stare was sharp as a blade, fixed on Gladys at center stage.

That regal, dignified face belonged to the woman who had killed her mother—Eunice.

Her fingers flew across her phone’s screen as she messaged Prince Simon, sending him every truth he had been desperate to uncover.

She knew she’d need his support for what came next.

And honesty—raw, unvarnished truth—was the only currency she could offer to win his trust.

As the message—“Eunice has been murdered”—was delivered, Charlotte felt the man beside her go rigid.

The host’s voice rang out: “Remote gemstone appraisal is the pinnacle of the Griffith Group’s talent. From five meters away, identify the most flawless crystal among these ten!”

With that, the trays were unveiled.

On each tray rested a single crystal—ten in all. Some were clear as ice, others glowed with a faint pink hue. Under the specially designed lights, every stone scattered rainbows across the velvet, making it nearly impossible to distinguish their quality with the naked eye.

But from her seat, Charlotte’s eyes landed unerringly on crystal number eight—the most perfect of them all.

She knew, deep down, this ability was Eunice’s gift to her, meant for this very moment—to reclaim everything stolen from her mother.

Just then, a familiar presence stirred to her right.

Charlotte turned and her eyes narrowed in surprise.

At some point, Darren had quietly switched seats with someone and now sat beside her, holding out a cup of steaming tea, eager to make himself noticed.
