Chapter271
Lucian advised, “Kyson, let it go. Bethany was Terrence’s wife
anyway. Hiding someone else’s wife, what are you doing? Whatever problems they had as a couple, it’s not your business.
Just tell Terrence, okay?”
At that moment, Terrence’s phone rang.
It was Eliza who called.
“Mr. McConnell, you need to come back right away. People from
the Disabled Persons‘ Federation and the Women’s Federation.
are here. They said if you don’t come back soon, they’re going to
call the police.”
Terrence looked a bit serious, stared at Kyson, and said on the
phone, “I got it, I’ll be right back.””
I guess Kyson also took Bethany to report it.
Terrence’s gentle and handsome face showed a hint of coldness,
but he still didn’t argue with Kyson.
He got up, “I have something to do, I’m leaving first.”
Lucian was a bit confused: “I haven’t eaten yet.””
Chapter271
Terrence walked away without looking back.
The door to the private room closed. Lucian looked at Kyson
and gave him a thumbs up, “You’re awesome. I really don’t get it,
how does Terrence put up with you like this.”
Kyson raised an eyebrow, “You mean today?”
“Not all of it, including before, I could stand it today, even
weirder.“”
Kyson wasn’t surprised by today’s patience. What surprised
him was before–except for the shared power station thing, he
more or less always picked on Terrence.
Terrence never really argued with him.
For Bethany’s sake, Kyson never mentioned that Terrence
bullied Bethany last night.
Instead, he suddenly changed the subject and said, “Tell me, why
do you feel like I’m stealing Terrence’s wife?”
“Too lazy to bother with you, obviously. Not stealing someone’s
wife, but you hid her, got involved in their marriage, what’s that
supposed to mean.”
Kyson frowned, “Did I say I liked Beth?”
Chapter271
Lucian nodded and answered seriously, “Yeah, it was obvious
enough that he almost said it.”
Lucian hadn’t met Bethany yet, just saw her three times by
chance.
Once, Ruby Club private room.
Once, the Duarte family had a birthday banquet.
Once, at the entrance of Riverspire Bistro.
He never even said anything extra, and the only thing Bethany
made him feel was that she was pretty, gentle, and had a good
temper, kind of like Daphne.
He suddenly squinted his eyes a bit, “Kyson, did you like her just
because she reminded you of your little sister?”
The appeal of bloodlines was a pretty hard thing to explain.
He also heard someone mention it by accident, that long–lost
family members, not knowing they were related, ended up
falling in love.
