Chapter 28
She never told Terrence about her hometown.
And he never asked her.
How did he knów the address of her old house?
The man’s deep voice came.
“Don’t tell me, after seven years of being my wife, you still can’t
tell the difference between a real diamond and a fake one.”
Bethany instinctively looked at the diamond pendant in the
box.
She didn’t pay attention to whether it was real or fake just now.
Her attention was on the voice device.
Terrence suddenly approached her, his lips almost touching her
earlobe.
“You like it?”
His voice was warm and attractive. The man’s hot breath
sprayed on her ear.
Bethany’s body trembled slightly.
Chapter 28
She indeed liked the pendant.
At least for now, it could make her life more convenient.
Moreover, the female voice of this device was very similar to
her own voice.
But she couldn’t answer.
Terrence let go of her.
Bethany’s eyes widened. She was struggling to reach for the
pendant.
Unfortunately, she missed.
The box fell, hitting the edge of a stone container.
The pendant fell out of the box and fell into the container.
Her house had a small courtyard. There was a long stone
container in the yard. Her grandmother used to plant flowers in
- it.
It could collect rainwater, so even though she rarely came back
over the years, the flowers were still thriving.
However, the little speaker behind the diamond pendant was an
electronic device, and Julio specially reminded her not to get it
wet.
Once it got wet, it would definitely not work.
Tears welled up in Bethany’s eyes. She stared at Terrence in
despair.
She only had half a year left and couldn’t go to Aranoland for
aphasia therapy.
“What did you do just now?”
