Chapter325
Since Terrence was looking into it, just let him handle it. There
should be some results in a few days.
After Kyson hung up the phone, he still didn’t know how to talk
to Bethany.
Terrence really knew how to boss him around.
No way, Kyson still went out.
Bethany started working at home.
Today’s work wasn’t very hard, and the character she designed
before was also made after she checked out info about the show
Davon.
It just needed a new style designed based on what the show
needed.
We could only start the next steps after the character designs
were finalized.
She was focused, working at the computer.
The doorbell rang.
She got up and went to open the door, it was Kyson.
Kyson was still carrying a bunch of bags with fruit and some
snacks.
Bethany went to pour him a cup of coffee.
There just happened to be paper and a pen on the tea table, so Bethany wrote a line: “Mr. Duarte, thank you for the fruit and
snacks.”
She couldn’t eat these yet, but since Kyson was being so nice, she had to say thank you. That was the least she could do.
“You’re welcome, I came here this time to ask for a favor!
Bethany was worrying about how to thank him and quickly
wrote, telling him, If I can do it, I definitely will.
The hardest thing to pay back was a favor.
If there was a chance for reciprocity, I had to seize it.
Kyson looked at her and said, “It might make things a bit awkward for you.”
Bethany gave him a puzzled look, then quickly smiled and
wrote a neat line.
“It’s okay, you go first.”
If she couldn’t do it, we’d talk about it later.
As long as she could do it, she would give it her all.
“Here’s the thing, Terrence’s grandparents immigrated here
years ago. They heard you were coming, and they insisted that
Terrence take you to the Gilbert’s villa to meet them. About
what’s been going on with you and Terrence lately…” Kyson
paused, “He knew if he asked you himself, you definitely
wouldn’t go, so he asked me to come talk to you.”
Bethany pressed her lips together and wrote down what she
wanted to say, “I was married to him for seven years and never
met his grandparents. Now we’re about to get divorced, so
there’s really no reason to meet them. He should know that
himself, but he still asked you to talk to me. Are you feeling
awkward in front of him?”
