Chapter389
Michael was all confused by Terrence. Mrs. McConnell had
always wanted a divorce. Even if Mr. McConnell tried to hold a
wedding, Mrs. McConnell probably wouldn’t go.
And time was running out, there were only twenty days left
until Emery’s birthday.
Bethany sat at her desk, looking at the necklace she had just put
next to her computer desk, thinking about Terrence’s
explanation, and feeling all kinds of emotions.
She didn’t need his kindness.
She didn’t need it at all.
He did these things, and every move he made really annoyed
her.
Bethany just didn’t want to stay at home anymore, so she
grabbed her bag and went out.
Outside the villa, she flagged down a taxi. After getting in, she
sent Krista a message.
“Meet up?”
Chapter389
Bethany offered to meet Krista, and Krista couldn’t be happier.
“Where was it?”
“Are you at Ms. Guzman Studio? If you are, I’ll come find you in
a bit.”
“in.”
Bethany went straight to Guzman Studio and saw Cassie first.
I hadn’t had a chance to really talk to Cassie about her stuff
before, and Cassie still missed her.
At this point, she had nothing left to hide.
She had already decided to choose her career, her illness had
turned around, and she didn’t have to worry about not being
able to face Cassie anymore.
Bethany told Cassie everything except the cancer thing.
“Mentor, I’m sorry, I let you down. Terrence and I registered at
the courthouse, and we could get divorced in a month.”
She didn’t say much about the marriage.
It just showed that the marriage she chose back then without
thinking wasn’t the love she imagined.
Chapter389
“Beth, you were a sensible kid, you didn’t make decisions lightly.
No matter what you chose, I supported you. When you finished
designing Davon’s character, just come back to me.”
She wanted to teach Bethany all her resources and skills.
Bethany nodded, feeling really guilty. She had chosen Terrence
without looking back, and her mentor had also chosen her
without looking back.
Up until now, her advisor still hadn’t given up on her.
Bethany signed while she cried.
“I’m sorry, really sorry…”
Cassie got up, hugged her, and said, “Silly girl, it’s okay. When
girls are at the age like flowers, they all long for love. You didn’t
do anything wrong. In life, there’s always a winding road you
just have to take”
After talking with Cassie, Bethany went to a cafe near the
studio and texted Krista.
It wasn’t long before Krista showed up.
She sat down across from Bethany.
“You needed something from me?”
Chapter389
Krista could understand sign language, so there wasn’t much
