Chapter413
As long as she could get a divorce, she could put up with
anything.
She just wanted to get out of this suffocating marriage as soon
as possible.
“Beth, I saw that he didn’t seem to want a divorce. Was there
really no way back for you two?”
“There’s no going back. He had someone else in his heart. He
didn’t get a divorce, not because he wanted to save this family,
but because…”
Bethany actually felt pretty embarrassed to tell Cassie about
Terrence and Krista, and she really didn’t want Cassie to know
she was just a shield for Terrence and Krista’s relationship.
Saying it would just make her feel even more embarrassed.
Bethany paused, “Anyway, he didn’t have any feelings for me,
and I didn’t have any hope for this marriage anymore.”
Cassie didn’t ask any more questions. They were already at the
door of Riverspire Bistro. Cassie was going to walk Bethany
back, but Bethany said she wanted to walk around by herself
and told Cassie to go ahead.
After seeing Cassie off, when Bethany was standing by the road
trying to hail a cab, a Bentley drove past her. The back window
was down, and she saw someone familiar, someone she would
never forget.
The taxi came, Bethany stopped it right away and got in.
“Driver, help me follow that car in front.”
Bethany anxiously stared at the Bentley in front. She took out
her phone and snapped a picture of the license plate.
After all these years, she finally saw him again!
I didn’t know where that car was going. The taxi chased it for
half an hour. When they hit a traffic light, the other car just
made it through, and they had to stop.
There was a lot of traffic at this spot, and the red and green
lights took too long. By the time the light turned green, there
was no way to find that car anymore.
Luckily, Bethany took a picture of the license plate. She told the
taxi to turn around and take her back to Vespera Villa.
Terrence came out of Riverspire Bistro and saw Bethany get
So his car just kept following behind Bethany. After a while, he realized Bethany seemed to be chasing the car in front. Later, maybe because she lost track, she turned around and left.
Bethany just got home, and Terrence’s car just arrived too.
Terrence got out of the car and caught up with Bethany.
This leg wasn’t getting better that fast, and it was really inconvenient for him.
