Chapter426
“Dad, what’s wrong with me? I still didn’t get it, why did she have to make things hard for me at the quilting contest? I didn’t even know what I did to upset her. Anyway, she changed. She just wasn’t who she used to be anymore.””
Terrence was so angry that his stomach hurt. He just hung up
the phone and got ready to go to the school to catch that little
brat and ask her how she could say in the hospital that her mom
was the nanny.
After Terrence left the house, Bethany’s phone rang. It was a
call from Kyson.
“Beth, tonight was Christmas Eve, your movie was about to
start full–on promotion, I brought Damari and the others over,
and tonight I invited you all to spend Christmas Eve together.“”
“Where was it?”

Bethany looked at the little girl and felt she looked really
familiar.
She asked curiously, “Kyson, whose kid is this?”
Kyson bent down and said softly, “Shyla, this is the Auntie Beth
I told you about. Go say hi to Auntie Beth.”

“What a sensible kid.” Bethany took the apple and asked Kyson, “Is he a child of the Duarte family?”
“She was my aunt’s granddaughter, but she was a poor kid. My aunt and uncle passed away early, and two years ago, her
parents also died in a plane crash. Grandpa took her to the
Duarte’s villa. There wasn’t really anyone at home to take care
of her, so after she started elementary school, she lived at a
