Chapter 145
Chapter 145
Time flowed quietly onward as the Edwards Group officially began its rebuilding. After renaming the Edwards Group to “Azureveit Group” Landas transferred all his shares to Amelia.
The name was chosen to convey the hope that Catherine’s soul may finally rest in peace,
Amelia was thoroughly delighted. She planted a kiss on Landon’s cheek and said, “Honey, you’re a genius. This name is perfect.”
Landon chuckled. “Didn’t you say you wanted to see me make you a new hidden weapon? Well, this is the time!”
She replied, “Okay!”
Landon pondered inwardly, ‘If the Zuckerberg family is scheming behind the scenes, then it’s time to entrust all the new hidden weapons to Amelia!
“Honey, about that hidden weapon…”
“Yeah? So when are you going to make it for me?” Amelia replied, her eyes lighting up.
“Right now,” Landon said with a grin. Landon led Amelia to the company’s B2 level parking garage.
Amelia looked at Landon in surprise. “Wait, isn’t your car usually parked on B1?”
Landon smiled mysteriously and said, “Just follow me.”
Inside the B2 level parking lot, she noticed several small rooms tucked along the walls. Landon opened one of the rooms and stepped inside. To Amelia’s astonishment, there was an elevator hidden inside.
“Wait, what?” she gasped, stunned. “There’s another floor down here?”
Landon pressed his fingerprint to unlock the elevator, pulling Amelia inside. “Come on,” he urged.
To Amelia’s astonishment, there was level B3, and it was a high–tech research lab. “Honey, is this place yours too?” Amelia was utterly astonished. “What are all these precision instruments for?”
“This is my private workshop,” Landon said as he wheeled himself behind the workbench and produced an array of exquisite trinkets.
Rose gold pieces, inlaid with tourmaline gemstones, made it look like fine ladies‘ jewelry. Amelia’s heart raced.
But in a flash, it dawned on her. “These are secret weapons!”
“Just one final step. Watch closely,” Landon said.
He picked up a pendant and, with a practiced motion, triggered its hidden mechanism, revealing a small storage chamber. Then, carefully, he filled it with an amber liquid from a vial.
Once sealed, the pendant had become a weapon, capable of dosing enemies with its contents. “Give it a try,” Landon said with a smile.
Amelia took the pendant, examining it from every angle until she finally found the hidden mechanism. With a gentle press, a jet of toxin shot out, reaching nearly ten feet away.
“Wow, the range is unbelievable! How did you do that?” Amelia gasped; she was utterly stunned.
“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by robotics. Later, I got into precision instruments and developed my techniques to maximize small–scale mechanisms,” Landon explained, raising his eyebrows with pride.
The skills he once used in government service now gave him a boyish sense of satisfaction as he showed off a little before his wife.

Amelia was utterly awestruck and gushed. “Honey, you’re incredible!”
“The only drawback is its small size, which limits the toxin capacity. You can shoot three times from a single item, he explained a dotika Eve pa more. Try them all out.”
Amelia tried on every bracelet, bangle, and hair accessory, one after another. She thought once fully adorned, ‘I’m the legendary Gadget Queen.
‘If anyone dares to mess with me, I’ll make sure they get a taste of my secret arsenal!
‘But, wait, killing someone is against the law!‘ Amelia thought.
“Honey, are these poisons deadly?” Amelia asked with concern.
Landon chuckled, “Are you scared?” he teased. “Relax, none of them are deadly.”
“That’s a relief. Just being able to stop the enemy for a while is enough.” Amelia smiled, visibly relieved. She looked at her husband and said, “Honey you’re absolutely the best!”
“So,” Landon asked suggestively, “any reward for me tonight?”
Amelia’s face flushed pink as she pouted, “Didn’t we just do it on the balcony last night?”
