“And you already got what you wanted. Kier and Rose were supposed to announce their engagement tonight, but you ruined it. Now they could only get engaged later without making an announcement.”
“Alarieka, were you satisfied?”
Alarieka sneered, “Not even gonna check, just decide I’m guilty, is that how you Argent family do things?”
Marlene gave a fake laugh, “So what if I did, or are you saying you could fight back?”
“You should have thanked Kier for rushing over to save Rose so quickly, and you should have prayed that the baby in Rose’s belly was okay. If anything happened to the baby, you shouldn’t have expected to get back in one piece either.”
Alarieka looked at Kieran.
Kieran looked serious, his dark eyes full of heavy emotion, and there was no warmth in the way he looked at her.
She opened her mouth, wanted to say something, but all that was left was a sarcastic low laugh, and a dull pain deep in her heart that she couldn’t put into words.
Did Kieran really love Roschelle so much that he lost his mind and stopped being his usual persistent self?
Having lived again, she thought she could stay indifferent, that she could not care.

But when she actually faced it, she still felt cold and bitter inside, and her whole body was forced to the point of weakness.
There was a bit of a choke in her voice she couldn’t hide: “Kieran, you can’t do this.”
Kieran’s face didn’t soften because of the catch in her voice or the tears in her eyes. Instead, he looked even more grim.
“Alarieka, take care of yourself.”
After saying that, Kieran turned around and pushed the door open, and Marlene and Rolando followed her into Roschelle’s hospital room.
Outside the ward, Alarieka was still held down by the shoulders and forced to kneel facing the ward door.
The two servants by her side didn’t show any mercy, they held her hands down with all their strength, and her knees had been kneeling for so long that she couldn’t even feel them anymore.
There were a lot of people coming and going in the hospital hallway, looking at her with suspicion and uncertainty, whispering about something.
Didn’t know how much time had passed, maybe two hours, maybe three, Roschelle woke up.
But Alarieka had already been exhausted from kneeling on the ground for so long. Both her legs and her body were worn out, and her usually pretty face had lost all its color. There were even obvious blood streaks in the whites of her eyes.
The door of the ward was finally pushed open again, and it was Kieran who came out.
Alarieka opened her eyes in a daze and said coldly, “Has she finally

woken up?”
Kieran looked at her pale face, his eyes paused, then he lifted his chin and told the two servants to let her go.
The moment she let go, Alarieka went limp all over and almost fell to the ground right away.
Luckily, Alaricka quickly put her hand on the ground, so she didn’t fall
over.
In the corner of her eye, she seemed to see Kieran move his feet and slightly raise his hand, like he wanted to come over and help.
But then he quickly took it back and went back to looking cold.
Alarieka thought it was fine like that. She really didn’t want Kieran to touch her again.
She had been kneeling for so long, her legs were almost numb.
Alarieka had to lean against the wall just to barely stand up, stumbling along the way and almost falling down a few more times.
Kieran and the two servants didn’t react at all, just watched coldly as she struggled to get up from the ground.
