Alpha's Regret: False Mate, True Luna novel Chapter 54

No one responded.

Ferris called out several more times: Aurora? Aurora-

The air was as silent as settled dust. He suddenly opened his eyes and sat up from the bed, cold sweat beading on his forehead, his gaze momentarily confused.

As consciousness quickly returned, he rememberedshe had been throwing a tantrum recently and had run away from home.

His chest felt stuffy, as if something had been hollowed out, and his stomach began to cramp.

He clutched his stomach and got out of bed, searching the house for medicine, turning every corner upside down, but still found nothing.

The huge villa now had only him alone. He had never liked being served and was always used to being independent, so housework had always been Aurora’s personal responsibility, with only Mary occasionally helping out.

Ferris gritted his teeth and took out his phone to call Mary. After a long while, someone finally answered.

Alpha Ferris, it’s 3 AM… What do you need me to do?”

His voice was low and hoarse: “Where are the medicines kept?”

The medicine box is in Luna Aurora’s room, in the first layer of that cabinet.”

Ferris hung up the phone, opened Aurora’s bedroom door, and slowly walked to the cabinet while supporting himself against the wall. He pulled open the Irawer and indeed found a medicine box with several types of medicine inside.

His stomach pain was like knife cuts. He raised his hand to frantically search through the medicine boxes, roughly reading a few lines of instructions, finally

>pening one bottle and swallowing two pills.

At least it won’t kill him, he laughed coldly under his breath, as if mocking himself.

n the past, when his stomach problems flared up, Aurora would personally feed him medicine. She was a doctor and very knowledgeable about these things.

But now that woman who had silently cared for him was angry and had left.

The medicine gradually took effect. Ferris leaned against the headboard and unknowingly fell asleep.

When he woke up again, it was already noon.

he familiar sound of cleaning came from the house–Mary had arrived. She walked into the bedroom and immediately saw his pale face and furrowed brows, tartling her.

She quickly shook her head: “I can’t.”
