A few moments later, Vivienne messaged again.
Vi: I don’t care how, just figure it out, Wyatt. We’re in this together, and if Serena wins, neither of us stands a chance!
Wyatt wanted to snap back—he was still fuming about how Vivienne had thrown him under the bus last time. But in the end, he just typed: Got it.
As soon as he hit send, he gathered his crew and made a beeline for the control room.
Nothing’s faster than killing the power.
This was already the fourth round of the live show. If Serena actually made it to the finals…
Besides, Wyatt was starting to think there must be a mole in his team. Otherwise, why did Christian always manage to cut him off, no matter what he did?
Scowling, Wyatt slipped away alone toward the circuit breaker.
He crept forward, glancing over his shoulder, and reached out for the switch—only to be met with a fist the size of a bowling ball flying straight at his face.
“Jesus!”
Wyatt hit the floor hard.
Christian emerged from the shadows, grinning as he casually shook out his fist.
“Knew you’d pull something like this, Wyatt. It’s all you ever do,” Christian sneered.
Wyatt scrambled up, ready to fight back, but a swarm of burly security guards poured out of the darkness, blocking any chance of escape. He was outnumbered and alone.
Christian burst out laughing at the sight of Wyatt’s twisted expression.
Christian watched Emilia from the wings.
This was an opportunity he’d never imagined he’d have. Emilia’s entire focus used to be on The Erickson Group and the Dennis family. It was only this time, after they teamed up for the show, that he found himself in her orbit—by sheer luck, really.
He checked his phone. The PR team from Donovan Entertainment and SevenJoyce McCarthy were working overtime, flooding social media with hype.
What he’d thought would be a brutal uphill battle was, thanks to Emilia’s sheer talent, a walk in the park.
He put his phone away, smirking at all those online comments painting Emilia as some pampered, helpless wife, clutching onto the Erickson family’s wealth.
The truth was, whoever Emilia chose would rise with her. Christian was living proof.
He’d gone from fighting for scraps—always overshadowed by his two older brothers—to finally earning his grandfather’s respect. The only thing that had changed was this partnership with Emilia, and their breakthrough on Voice of the Divine.
