Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 212

Christian strode over and pulled Tyler aside.

“Listen, Tyler,” he said, his voice low and sharp. “I may be just one of the Donovan family’s three sons, but I’m not someone you can push around.”

As he spoke, Christian shot a look at Cindy.

Cindy immediately helped Emilia toward the waiting van.

Emilia was just stepping onto the van’s running board when she caught Tyler’s voice behind her.

“Who exactly are you?” Tyler asked, narrowing his eyes.

Christian froze, hesitating to answer, and looked helplessly at Emilia.

“Please be more specific, Mr. Erickson,” Emilia replied without turning around. “Otherwise, I’m not sure how to answer you.”

“With your level of musical talent and skill, there’s no way you’re some nobody,” Tyler called after her, enunciating each word. “So—what’s your real reason for all this?”

Before Emilia could respond, Christian snapped.

“And what business is it of yours?” he shouted, his anger barely restrained. “What, you think a singer joins a music competition for some hidden agenda?”

He almost said outright that Tyler must be out of his mind.

Tyler shot Christian a cold, withering glance, as if he were nothing more than a fool.

Emilia understood what Tyler was implying; it was about Vivienne, no doubt. But Christian’s interruption was fine by her—at least she didn’t have to answer.

With that, Emilia turned to climb into the van.

“I’m not here to interrogate you,” Tyler’s voice cut through the night air behind her. “I just want you to know—Vivienne is my responsibility. I’ll handle her issues myself. Whatever your intentions or plans are, I suggest you remember what I just said.”

Emilia paused, then slowly turned around.

Tyler stood there, framed by the endless night, a gentle breeze stirring his hair. Was this a warning? Or a declaration?

Christian saw the messages too.

He waved his phone in Tyler’s face, screenshots open.

“I know exactly what you want to say,” Christian muttered, his voice heavy with contempt. “This is your idea of Vivienne being the innocent one?”

Tyler’s lips pressed into a tight line as he glanced at the van door. But the Masked Woman was already gone.

Christian hurled his final words at Tyler, then climbed into the van after Emilia, not bothering to look back.
