Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 420

At that very moment—

“Emily!”

Tyler burst in, breathless, having hurried back with his assistant to fetch the contract.

Without a second’s hesitation, he plunged straight into the freezing pool.

He scooped her out of the icy water, pulling her limp form into his arms.

Blood kept streaming from her wounds, mingling with the frigid water, trailing down his arms and soaking into his shirt, spreading in a wide, crimson stain.

The sight was harrowing.

Hillside Manor, inside the bedroom.

“That’s what happened after you left that day,” Raymond told Tyler.

He’d already downed several glasses of whiskey, and his eyes were glazed, tinged with the haze of intoxication.

Raymond glanced up at Tyler, sitting across from him, his eyes rimmed red.

With a bitter, self-deprecating smile, Raymond continued.

“It’s really just a simple story,” he said, brow furrowed. Sunlight poured through the massive bedroom windows, casting a rare glint of red in his eyes.

“She believed in you. She loved you. She risked everything for you.”

“Do you remember?” Raymond’s voice was hoarse as he looked at Tyler, the breeze ruffling his hair. “That day, after you pulled her out of the water, she still made me promise to remember the contract.”

“She truly loved you.”

Crash—

A sudden clatter broke the silence. In a blink, Tyler, who had been slumped on the bed, seized Raymond by the collar and slammed him hard against the white wall.

They’d both been there. Tyler understood every word, every step.

From the moment Raymond started threatening her, Emilia had mapped out the whole plan in her mind.

The second she spoke her terms, she’d decided to sacrifice her health.

“But what none of you realized then—what she didn’t know either—was that she was carrying your child.”

“Enough!”

Tyler roared, swinging his fist into Raymond’s jaw.

Raymond retaliated instantly, landing a blow on Tyler’s face.

They traded punch for punch, violence fueled by pain and regret, until the commotion drew others, who rushed in to pull them apart.

“And you have the nerve to hit me?” Raymond spat blood onto the floor, glaring at Tyler. “That day, she was really ready to die for you. For all her plans, my gun was loaded and pressed to her forehead. She was gambling everything.”
