The moment Tyler glanced at the screen, he recognized the setting of Vivienne’s livestream.
He exited the app without hesitation.
While issuing orders to the people next to him, he dialed Secretary Jensen’s number.
The call connected quickly.
By then, Tyler was already in the car, instructing his team to confirm the available helicopter routes as he headed toward the location.
“Mr. Erickson?” Secretary Jensen’s voice came through.
“What’s going on with Vivienne?” Tyler asked, his tone clipped.
He’d rushed to Highcrest in the middle of the night and had only just finished dealing with business. Exhaustion dragged at him as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Wasn’t her first livestream supposed to be at Owen’s place? Why is she at Hillside Manor now?”
“Who gave her the access code?” Tyler’s eyes narrowed, his tone turning icy.
“Excuse me?” Secretary Jensen sounded genuinely confused. “Mr. Erickson, didn’t you give her the code?”
None of them had the code.
Even the cleaning staff were given only a temporary code, valid for twenty minutes after use—and only with prior notice if there were special circumstances.
Anyone entering for work had to apply in advance; the housekeeper would verify their schedule before approving a temporary code.
After Tyler recovered from his illness, he’d moved across the street to the apartment Emilia rented. Hillside Manor was only maintained periodically now; no one went there regularly.
“Find out,” Tyler ordered coldly.
He hung up and immediately tried calling Vivienne.
No answer.
He tried Vivienne’s assistant.
Still nothing.
“Damn it!” Tyler’s fist clenched and slammed into the car door, the loud crack echoing through the cabin.
At the base of the jeweled sea, golden mist curled like a flowing river, making it seem as though golden waves were cresting with glittering gems.
Under the warm indoor lights, the whole scene sparkled with mesmerizing beauty.
Every Golden Series piece was nestled among the “waves”—gems set in elegant arrangements—available for viewers to purchase.
It looked every bit as exquisite as a boutique gallery.
A glassy, golden wonderland.
Music filled the air—an ethereal ballad called “Emy”—lending the space a sense of hope and otherworldliness.
Beside each new piece, a small gold card was engraved with delicate script.
Emilia nodded to someone off camera.
A staff member’s voice rang out:
“Once upon a time, a brave knight journeyed to a distant castle, where he slew a dragon and rescued the princess. For his courage, kindness, and wisdom, he won her heart, and, with the king’s blessing, they were wed—and lived happily ever after…”
