Fated to the Alpha–And His Triplet Brothers novel Chapter 270

Chapter 270: Gabrielle.

*~Aurora’s POV~*

A scream was building inside me , trapped beneath my ribs as the Luna held my hand and smiled like she knew something. Something about me. I could feel a strange tension rolling off her, and every instinct in my body told me something wasn’t right.

Does she know I’m a woman? Is that why she’s acting like this? Oh goddess...

My stomach flipped so violently I thought I might faint. If she discovered my secret — my one, biggest, most dangerous secret — that would be it. The end of me. I didn’t want to die. I didn’t want to be exposed. I just wanted to run.

But I couldn’t. I had to keep myself together.

She tightened her grip on my hand and led me to my assigned room. I expected her to drop me off at the door and leave... but no. The moment I stepped inside, she followed me in.

My heart sank.

"Hi," she said softly, eyes warm. "This is your room."

"Yes. Thank you, Your Grace." I bowed, praying she would take the hint and walk away.

Instead, she sat on my bed.

My stomach practically climbed into my throat. Why is she doing this? Why is she acting like this? I clasped my hands behind my back to stop them from shaking.

"So, Eric," she began, her voice dripping sweetness. "Do you have any woman in your life right now?"

I swallowed. "No, ma’am. I’m... focusing on myself. Marriage will come later." A lie. A big one. But what else could I say?

She leaned forward slightly, locking her gaze onto mine. "Really? No one messing with you? No... temptations? No strings attached? Just pure lust?" she asked, voice lowering.

My entire soul shriveled.

"No, ma’am," I repeated quickly, almost too quickly.

"Sweet," she whispered.

She stood up smoothly and walked toward the door. For one terrifying second, I thought she would turn back and continue questioning me... but she simply stepped out.

I slammed the door shut and locked it instantly.

A massive breath left my lungs. "Goddess," I whispered. "I thought that was about to go somewhere else..."

I dropped onto the bed, letting the tension melt out of my bones. After a moment, I walked to the window and peeked out.

The High House was stunning — massive stone walls, elegant carvings, glowing lanterns, and the peaceful hush that only a powerful pack could hold. Beautiful. Too beautiful.

Then a movement caught my eye.

A blonde woman walked through the gates, blue eyes sharp and cold. Behind her was a young girl blindfolded.

The girl was blind — no doubt about it. She moved carefully, each step gentle and uncertain, while her mother walked in front of her with regal confidence, guiding her only by sound. A moment later, the Alpha met them halfway, speaking quietly with the mother before the child continued toward the High House.

The two young boys from earlier ran to her immediately. "You’re here!" one of them shouted, grabbing her hand. The other took her free hand, and together they led her inside like she was something precious.

I was still watching when a knock hit my door. My heart fell straight down to my knees.

Please don’t let it be the Luna. Please don’t let it be the Luna. The thought of her standing outside my door, naked, throwing herself at me made my entire stomach twist into a painful knot.

I swallowed hard, opened the door and nearly collapsed in relief.

Leon stood there holding Kovu in his arms, looking irritated and tired as usual.

I immediately yanked both of them inside. "Kovu!" I grabbed the cat from him, hugging him so tightly his fur tickled my nose. He licked my cheek, purring loudly.

"I totally forgot about you," I whispered against his fur.

"Well, this is your very bad owner," Leon said dryly, dusting cat hair off his shirt. He glanced around the room. "What’s with the Queen? Why was she all over you?"

I sighed. "I don’t know. She’s just... weird."

"Absolutely weird," Leon agreed. "And very disgusting."

He flopped down on my bed and groaned dramatically. "Why is your bed even more comfortable than mine? This is unfair."

I barely heard him. My mind was still replaying that blind girl’s arrival. Something about her presence... her beauty... her quiet aura... something pulled at me, mysterious and warm. I wanted to know who she was. Why she felt different.

I turned, ready to tell Leon about her — but the moment I opened my mouth, he tensed like he was about to panic. I snapped my lips shut. Better to keep it to myself for now.

After a while, Leon left for his room, and I began preparing for the ball.

The queen had sent me the finest silk robe I’d ever touched. The fabric shimmered like moonlight, expensive and soft enough to melt between my fingers. Even I wanted to wear it — and that was saying something.

But when I held it against my chest, my stomach twisted again.

It was perfectly sized.

Perfectly fitted. And I was terrified my breasts would show.
