Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2781

The joyous chatter in the chapel only began to subside when the officiant stepped onto the altar.

In the front rows reserved for distinguished guests, the Lamonts and the Jarvis family took their seats.

As Gabriel entered, he turned to scan the rows of guests behind him. His sharp gaze immediately found Sylvia, who was seated near the very back.

She was chatting with Grace, dressed in a long black gown, her hair falling over her shoulders and obscuring the delicate curve of her profile. He could just make out the faint smile on her face, though he couldn't guess its cause.

She seemed to be in a very good mood.

The man's face remained impassive as he averted his gaze.

When Old Mr. Jarvis appeared, everyone unconsciously held their breath. A moment later, whispers broke out. “Is that the patriarch of the Jarvis family? What an imposing presence!”

“The man next to him must be Old Mr. Jarvis’s grandson, right? What’s his name?”

“What, you’ve fallen for him? Don’t get your hopes up. Only a family like the Lamonts is worthy of marrying into the Jarvis family!”

“It might not be possible in real life, but a girl can dream, can’t she? I’m going to ask for his WhatsApp after the ceremony.”

“Go for it. Let’s see if Mr. Jarvis even gives you the time of day. But if you get it, remember to share!”

“I worked up the nerve to get his number myself, why on earth would I share it with you?”

...

Sylvia, sitting just behind the group of gossiping girls, couldn't help but be amused by the last comment. Judging by their attire, they were all daughters of wealthy families.

Grace had overheard as well and turned to whisper with a smile, “See? Look how popular Gabe is!”

Sylvia’s eyes were languid, a smile playing on her lips as she replied softly, “That’s only because they don’t know how ruthless he can be!”
