After dinner, Joe and Charlotte went to the villa next door.
Sir Smith snorted when he saw Joe. "You still remember to come back. I thought you had forgotten about me! You don't even know that your own children have been bullied. What's the use of keeping you?"
After scolding him, Sir Smith smiled brightly at Charlotte and said, "Oh, you're back. Did you get tired on the way back? Did anyone make you suffer abroad? If he can't even protect his wife... I'm sorry, Joe won't have to be the president anymore. He might as well go sell some sweet potatoes."
Charlotte burst into laughter. She really couldn't imagine what it would be like for Joe to sell sweet potatoes.
Joe was already used to Sir Smith treating him differently. He sneered, took Charlotte's hand, and said to him with a faint smile, "Although I often wonder if you picked me up from somewhere, you're right about one thing. She's about to become my wife."
"What nonsense are you talking about...?" Sir Smith stopped talking and looked at him in disbelief. "What did you say?"
Joe raised Charlotte's hand and showed him the shining diamond on her ring finger.
Sir Smith immediately smiled widely. "After so many years, you've finally done something useful!"
Joe sneered and didn't say anything.
Charlotte looked at them who were bickering with each other, and the smile in her eyes was very strong.
They clearly attached great importance to each other, but they treated each other in this way.
After they bickered with each other, Sir Smith suddenly went upstairs to find a box.
"All right, all right." Sir Smith glared at him grumpily. "It's just a bracelet. Why do you make it sound like you're proposing?"
The romantic atmosphere was suddenly broken. Joe glanced at him indifferently. Sir Smith shivered and glared at him angrily. "Why are you looking at me? If you have time, why don't you go and see your parents?"
Charlotte could clearly feel that the aura around Joe suddenly became gloomy, and his eyes were full of hostility.
Seeing him like this, Sir Smith sighed heavily. "It's been so many years. Haven't you let go of the obsession in your heart yet?"
"I know." Joe didn't say much. He grabbed Charlotte's hand and walked out. "We still have something to do, so we'll take our leave first."
