Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1721

The waiter in front of them didn't seem the least bit upset; instead, he just chuckled. "Mr. Smith, Ms. Smith, you're both sharp. Surely, you understand what the old man wants," he said with a slight grin. "Why don't you head back for now? I've passed on the message; the ball's in your court."

"Trying to use this tactic to push us out of the country? We're not scared of anything. If you're so sure it was my mother's fault back then, why not let us in for a face-off? If you're too chicken to do even that, the main branch of the Smith family doesn't seem all that impressive," Kimberly retorted with a cold snort. She was always brash and fearless, never backing down for anyone.

"The Smith family just wants my son, don't they? Thinking you can control us through him—what greed! If you're so terrified of us digging up the past, you might as well take this to your old master. I'm sure he's keen to see us," Kimberly asserted, pulling out a small charm. It looked unassuming, but the way the waiter's expression changed told a different story.

Kimberly gently placed the charm in the waiter's hand, knowing he was more than met the eye. Being by the old man's side in the Smith family, he wasn't just any ordinary servant. Plus, having served the Smith family for decades, he surely had some tricks up his sleeve.

When the waiter took the charm, he visibly shook, a flicker of fear and anxiety that both Jackson and Kimberly caught. "I'll be waiting right here. If I don't see the Smith family's sincerity by the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, I bet the whole world will be buzzing about the Smith family's scandal tomorrow."

The waiter was swift; with the Smith family's vast network, if he dragged his feet, he wouldn't make it to the old master in time. After he left, word spread like wildfire that Jackson and Kimberly were heading back to the Smith family. One luxury car after another lined up at the family entrance.

Jackson and Kimberly didn't utter a word, standing tall at the Smith family entrance, waiting for the waiter's return. But some folks just can't see reason and insist on causing trouble, and they have only themselves to blame.

"I'm talking to you, are you deaf?" the cocky guy demanded, grabbing Jackson's collar. To his shock, he couldn't budge Jackson an inch. Instead, with a simple twist, Jackson sent the guy sprawling to the ground. His face met the pavement, and blood immediately started to seep out.
