Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1734

Even the most prideful Nash had let his guard down.

"I'm logging in. Invite me, and let's team up," Fiona said, pulling out her phone and launching the gaming app.

"No need, I'm done after this game," Nash replied, glancing at her with a hint of awkwardness.

He couldn't help but steal glances at Fiona from the corner of his eye, as if he had something on his mind. Fiona was aware, but she chose not to press him. Some things are better left unsaid.

"Come on, just play with me for a bit. I honestly can't stand these freshman welcome parties. Teaming up for a game is way more fun," Fiona insisted.

Hearing this, Nash, who had been trying to think of a way to decline, shrugged and agreed, "Alright."

Nash's gaming skills matched Fiona's. He wrapped up his current game swiftly and immediately fired up a new one, sending Fiona an invite.

As soon as they started, the duo was unstoppable—picking up weapons, reloading ammo, and nailing headshots with ease. Their quick reflexes made the game a breeze.

Both had their Bluetooth headsets on, and amidst the sound of gunfire, Fiona opened their team chat and quietly typed a message.

Fiona: You're carrying too much on your shoulders. It's exhausting. You need a break. No one blames you for what happened.

Nash was taken aback when he saw the message. He turned to Fiona, his eyes filled with a mix of hurt and sadness, emotions that seemed to come to a head at that moment.

Maybe it was Fiona's words striking a chord, or the comforting vibe, but Nash felt a long-lost sense of relief.

Perhaps it was time to let go of the burdens he'd been carrying. Even if he had to hold some grudges or responsibilities, he shouldn't dwell in the past but move forward with courage.

After a few rounds, Fiona set her phone down and rubbed her temples. She hadn't slept well the night before, and today was wearing her out.

Meanwhile, not far from Fiona, Jane was glaring at her with a look that could burn holes.

"There's Fiona. If you can teach her a lesson, I'll cover your meals for a month," Jane declared.
