Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1808

Fiona woke up to the chaos outside, a frown forming on her face—there'd been a multi-car pile-up.

"How much further to the Golden Times Hotel?" she asked.

Tyler checked the GPS. "Just past this light, take a right, and we're there."

"Let's get out," she decided.

Without another word, Fiona hopped out of the car, tossed a hundred-dollar bill to the driver, and briskly walked off. Tyler, sensing something was up, quickly followed her.

Sure enough, within minutes of their exit, the car trailing them had a gas leak and exploded, setting off a chain reaction that left a crater in the road. Several cars and passersby got caught in the blast, but thanks to their quick getaway, Fiona and Tyler were unscathed.

"It's Amy," Tyler muttered, clearly annoyed.

Fiona shook her head with a slight smirk. "She's not capable of this."

"Then who?" Tyler asked, confused, keeping pace with her.

"Call Nash. Tell him to move up the plan," Fiona ordered.

Tyler paused, the realization hitting him. "The Woods family!"

"But why would they do this?" Tyler wondered aloud.

At the mention of Jasmine, Fiona's lashes fluttered, and her face darkened. Suddenly, the food wasn’t so appetizing.

The Bryant family, skilled at reading people, caught Fiona’s reaction.

"Let's enjoy the meal," one of them chimed in with a chuckle, steering the chat back to lighter topics.

Their earlier comments were a strategic probe into Fiona and Jasmine's connection, hoping to leverage it for a deal. Landing the next quarter’s designs from International Glam would mean a huge profit boost, too tempting to pass up.

Jasmine had once aimed to elevate International Glam to prove her worth to the Bryant family, but now that drive was unnecessary.
