Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1855

Fiona couldn’t get enough of the gift—she cuddled the soft little kitten and wouldn’t let go for anything.

The kitten didn’t seem to mind one bit. She just nestled deeper into Fiona’s arms, purring contentedly, letting Fiona pet and play with her as much as she wanted.

Honestly, Fiona thought kittens were the ultimate mood booster. Jackson’s present couldn’t have been more perfect.

“What should we name her?” she asked, looking up with a spark in her eyes.

The kitten was only two and a half months old—still so tiny and new, with no name yet. But she was already a chubby little thing, weighing in at three pounds. Jackson glanced over. “Any ideas, Fiona?”

“She’s so round and squishy… How about we call her Dodo?”

Jackson blinked, caught off guard by the name, but then he just laughed. “Dodo it is.”

After playing with Dodo for a while, Fiona packed up her things. She had to swing by school that afternoon, so she didn’t linger.

The school had set up an interview with reporters for her, thanks to her top student status. It was supposed to happen at the start of the semester, but it kept getting pushed back—until now.

As soon as Fiona arrived on campus, she caused a stir. The recent news about her was everywhere, especially since it was the weekend, and excitement was running high. The reporters who were scheduled to interview her had been camped out at the school gates for ages.

Those who’d made arrangements beforehand were quickly brought inside by the staff. The entertainment reporters, though, hadn’t seen this coming—they were left standing outside, frustrated and restless.

Seeing their competition scoop up the headlines right in front of them was too much to take. They started frantically calling their editors, begging them to get in touch with the school and sort things out.
