Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1922

She couldn’t help sneaking a few more glances.

But with the distance and the sheer curtain in the way, she couldn’t see much at all.

Tyler and Jane seemed to pick up on her mood. Nobody said another word—they just quietly finished their meal. When they were done, they all agreed: they wouldn’t come back here again.

“This year, Tyler’s little sister is competing. People say she’s been talented since she was a kid, and apparently, she’s really something,” Jane remarked.

Fiona finished her noodles, her voice calm. “Do you think you’re not as good as she is?”

“Of course not. I don’t think I’m any less than her.”

“Then relax. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Once they’d paid, Tyler drove Jane and Fiona to the airport. Someone had to keep things running at International Glam, so Tyler couldn’t go with them. Plus, he needed to stay behind and keep tabs on things in the States.

At the entrance, Jackson caught a glimpse of Fiona as she left.

He forced himself not to go after her, turning back to the woman in front of him.

“If you don’t win first place this time, it’ll be hard to explain yourself,” he said.

“Mr. Jackson, why do you think I can’t win?” The woman smiled, propping her chin on her hand. “Do you really think I’d lose to Fiona’s team?”

Jackson just looked at her, cold and unreadable.

“I’m finished eating, Mr. Jackson. I’ll be going now.”

She walked away, hips swaying with confidence.

At the airport, she and Fiona crossed paths, but neither noticed the other.

When Fiona and Jane arrived, the other three contestants and Jean, the alternate, were already waiting with their luggage.

Fiona’s fingers danced across her keyboard. On her screen, she was chatting with Tyler.

Fiona: Did you find the person at the address I gave you?

Tyler: I sent someone, but she wasn’t there. I’ve tracked where they moved her. We should be able to get her tonight.

Fiona paused, thinking. Good. Once you have her, tell her the truth—and make sure she looks at what I left for her.

The Gregory family is in for a rude awakening.

Jane noticed the little smile tugging at Fiona’s lips and frowned. “You don’t smile like that very often.”

“The Gregory family is about to get turned upside down,” Fiona said.

Jane’s eyes lit up. She grinned, leaning in, already dying to hear more. “What happened?”
