Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1932

“Alright.”

To prove the cafeteria was squeaky clean, the organizers didn’t hesitate—they rounded up the captains of all four teams and headed straight for the kitchen. Even contestants who weren’t feeling sick couldn’t resist the drama and hurried after them, eager to see what all the fuss was about.

A whole crowd swept quickly toward the back kitchen.

Most of the kitchen staff had no clue what was going on. Suddenly, this group barged in, leaving everyone looking confused and startled.

“Everyone, stop what you’re doing!” The organizer stood in the doorway, scanning each face with sharp eyes.

Just like Fiona suspected, he was seriously worried someone from his own kitchen might be behind all this. If that turned out to be true, he’d have a hard time explaining himself.

Talk about a nightmare.

All eyes zeroed in on the kitchen crew.

“Boss, what’s happening?” A supervisor rushed over, trying his best to smile. “It’s almost time to prep for dinner, and we’ve still got a mountain of work.”

“Save it. Dinner can wait an hour or two—no one’s going to starve.”

The group fanned out, searching every inch of the kitchen. The cooks all looked lost and anxious, not sure what they were even looking for.

Then Fiona noticed something off about one of the panels—it looked different from the others.

She glanced at it a few times but didn’t say anything.

When the search turned up nothing, everyone, especially the organizer, let out a huge sigh of relief.

If something really had happened in his own kitchen, he’d never hear the end of it.

A sharp, chemical smell drifted out.

The organizer immediately had two staff members haul it out. When they opened the bag and dumped out the contents, everyone could see the white powder mixed with black specks. No one knew exactly what it was, but it was obvious this wasn’t anything good.

The organizer’s face turned green. He hadn’t expected the problem to come from his own kitchen.

“Mr. Woods, Ms. Fiona, I swear I have nothing to do with this. This is my first time here, too. Let me handle it—I promise I’ll get to the bottom of it and give you an explanation.”

Of all the teams in the competition, it had to happen to these two heavyweights. How was he supposed to survive this?

If either of them blamed him, he was done for.

Fiona had no intention of dealing with it right now. Deep down, she already suspected this whole mess was meant for her.
