Chapter 117

She nodded, said nothing further, and got into the car.

Harry didn’t move.

As the car passed by him, Maggie lowered the window, nodded at him as a greeting, and then pressed the accelerator, leaving.

He watched her car disappear into the distance before getting into his own car and leaving.

Maggie returned to the Miller family house.

Grandmother Miller and Jason were still awake, while Xavier and Hugo had gone upstairs to rest.

When they saw her return, they all turned to look at her, seemingly waiting for her.

“Back?” Grandmother Miller asked.

“Mm.”

Seeing the elderly matriarch extend her hand, Maggie placed her bag down and walked over to sit beside her.

Grandmother Miller took her hand and asked, “Mag, are you planning to let go of Franklin?”

Her attitude toward Franklin today had been markedly different from before.

It was hard not to notice the change.

“Mm,” Maggie replied. “We’re preparing for a divorce.”

Grandmother Miller laughed. “Good, good, good. Divorce is fine.”

But then her expression shifted, and she furrowed her brow. “Isabella has become very clingy with him. He’s also been quite good to her over the past two years. He probably won’t give you custody of her…”

Maggie didn’t want custody of Isabella.

But she didn’t say that aloud. Instead, she responded, “I understand. I’ll discuss it with him properly. It’s getting late, let’s all

rest now.

While the others went to rest, Maggie couldn’t relax just yet.

Because on her way back, Nolan and Johnny had discussed a lot. When Maggie entered her room, she received a task list from Johnny with a note:

The teacher wants this done. It must be completed before 6 AM tomorrow.

Maggie set her bag down, took a sip of water, and replied: “Got It”

sfle didn’t remove her makeup or take a shower but immediately turned on her computer and started working.

It wasn’t until around 4 AM that she finally finished everything and sent the completed task over.

Johnny, also buried in work, replied, “The teacher wants us to go to his place before 9 AM.”

“Alright,” Maggie replied.

They didn’t chat any longer. After shutting down her computer, Maggie went into the bathroom to remove her makeup and

take a shower.

By the time she finished, it was already past 5 AM.

She set an alarm for 8 AM, turned off the light, and went to bed.

The next day, when the alarm woke her, she felt utterly drained, but she didn’t dare to slack off. She immediately got up, went to the bathroom, and got ready.

When she went downstairs, she didn’t look very refreshed. Grandmother Miller noticed and asked, “Why didn’t you sleep a little longer?”

“I have to go to the teacher’s place,” Maggie replied.

Grandmother Miller knew how strict Nolan was with his students.

She simply said, “I don’t feel comfortable with you driving, let the driver take you.”

“Alright,” Maggie said.

When they arrived at Nolan’s villa, the three of them went straight to the study to get to work.

They were only able to take a short break when lunchtime arrived.

At that moment, Maggie’s phone suddenly rang.

It was a message from Jessica, asking if she wanted to go skiing with her in the afternoon.

Maggie replied with a voice message, “I have things to do today, so I won’t be going. You go ahead.”

Jessica: “Okay.”

In the afternoon, when Maggie came out of the study to refill her water, Jessica sent another message.

Nolan didn’t even look at him, just saying: “I’m going out soon.”
