Chapter 326
The treatment plan for Sally wouldn’t be available anytime soon.
The next day, after a brief visit to the hospital, Maggie returned to the office as usual.
Mr. Taylor had flown in from another province to meet with her and Johnny for business discussions.
At noon, Maggie and Johnny took Mr. Taylor out for lunch.
Their collaboration had nearly been finalized, and on the way, Johnny asked casually,
“So, Mr. Taylor, when are you heading back?”
Mr. Taylor chuckled, “I’ll be staying a couple more days this time. I have another partnership meeting tomorrow.”
“Oh?” Johnny sounded intrigued. “What kind of partnership?”
“It’s with Wilson Tech,” Mr. Taylor replied.
Both Maggie and Johnny’s smiles faded slightly upon hearing that name.
Mr. Taylor, however, didn’t notice the subtle change in their expressions.
He was unaware of the longstanding feud between Cole and Wilson Tech.
He went on, “Apparently, Wilson Tech made a significant technical breakthrough a few days ago. Word is, the entire industry’s now looking at them as a rising star. Yesterday, their CEO, Ms. Brown, gave me a call about a potential collaboration. It sounded promising, so I agreed.”
Maggie and Johnny had both been so busy lately that they hadn’t kept up with industry buzz.
This sudden news darkened their moods.
After exchanging a quick glance with Maggie, Johnny said lightly,
“Is that so…”
They didn’t press further and soon arrived at the restaurant.
After lunch, just as they were about to leave, they bumped into Julia and her team by the elevators.
“Ms. Brown,” Mr. Taylor greeted warmly as he stepped forward.
Neither Julia nor Logan had expected to run into them here.

When Mr. Taylor addressed them, both Julia and Logan smiled politely.
“Mr. Taylor,” they said in return.
After the brief pleasantries, Mr. Taylor turned toward Maggie and Johnny.
“Ms. Brown, these two are–?”
Johnny answered with a mild smile, “No need for introductions. We’ve met.”
Mr. Taylor laughed, “Ah yes, of course–we did meet last time My memory’s really slipping!”
He couldn’t help but add, “Your company, Ms. Brown, and your brother’s as well–they’re both doing incredibly well. Truly admirable.”
Julia and Logan both responded with modest smiles.
Ever since Wilson Tech’s R&D department overcame a major technical hurdle, the news had spread like wildfire. Their self–driving car project had gained serious traction, and the industry consensus was clear: if momentum continued, Wilson Tech’s market valuation could easily reach into the billions–possibly more.
Thanks to Franklin’s support, even Logan’s once–struggling tech firm had shown signs of revival. With new project breakthroughs, its outlook was brighter than ever.
The unexpected windfall from Wilson Tech had left the Brown and Green families thrilled.
With Julia now on the cusp of becoming the CEO of a billion–dollar company, Sophia was practically lowing with
joy. She even cast a smug glance in Maggie’s direction.
After all, this was all thanks to Franklin.
He must have foreseen all of this long before handing the company over to Julia.
When the news of Wilson Tech’s breakthrough had first surfaced, he hadn’t even flinched.
Now, with both Wilson Tech and Brown Tech receiving huge boosts, and with Franklin and Maggie preparing for divorce, it really did feel like all the good fortune had fallen squarely into the Brown family’s lap.
Maggie and Johnny remained silent throughout the encounter.
Julia didn’t even glance her way.
Once they were downstairs, both parties went their separate ways.

Back in the car, Johnny looked something up on his phone, and finally understood why the Brown and Green families were walking on air.
