Chapter 372
Chapter 372
Before arriving, he had actually asked Franklin on the phone whether Julia wald be coming to visit the old lady.
Franklin said she wouldn’t.
Levi later found out the reason—Stella had already made it clear the night before: Julia wasn’t allowed to visit.
Stella’s exact words had been, “Don’t bring irrelevant people into the ward to isturb your grandmother’s rest”
Thinking of that, Levi was tempted to gossip about it, but seeing Isabella and the butler nearby, he decided against it.
After visiting the old lady, both Franklin and Harry had work to do, so they didn’t stay long.
As they were leaving, Levi said,
“If you guys can spare some time tonight, let’s get together for dinner?”
Franklin and Harry responded in unison:
“Sure.”
Franklin spent the whole day at the hospital dealing with work. In the evening, Stella came to relieve him, and he headed to the restaurant Levi had booked.
Isabella had returned to the Miller residence earlier that afternoon.
So Franklin went to the dinner alone.
By the time he arrived, both Harry and Levi were already there.
Julia arrived last.
As she pushed the door open and entered the private room, Franklin looked over and was the first to speak.
“You’re here?”
Julia smiled faintly.
“Yeah.”
As she responded, she also caught sight of Harry.
When she had first heard Harry had fallen for Maggie, she was stunned. But beyond that shock, she also couldn’t understand it,
She truly didn’t get what was so special about Maggie–aside from her pretty face–that would make someone like Harry fall for her.
Especially considering how Harry had once loathed Maggie for drugging Franklin and forcing the marriage.
She couldn’t understand why he’d suddenly change his attitude–why he would fall for her.
But now…
She remembered the scene she saw in the parking lot a few days ago; remembered learning that Cole was co–founded by Maggie and Johnny; that the revered “CUAP” language she idolized had been developed by Maggie’s team; that Maggie was Nolan’s student, the very same Nolan she herself had tried so hard to be noticed by.
That the fast–growing Cole–Maggie was part of it all.
And all the details over the past year, all connected to Maggie.

At that moment, it finally clicked.
Harry must have known all along whis Maggie really was.
le must’ve long been aware of her ties to Nolan, to Cole.
Yet despite knowing all of that, he had never breathed a word of it to her.
She thought of all her efforts in front of him–trying so hard to be seen by Nol, constantly bringing up her admiration for the developers of CUAP and now, it all seemed like a pathetic joke.
Utterly ridiculous.
Her fingers tightened around her handbag as she bit down on her lip, struggling to maintain a composed expression.
