"A Conquest Title…" Gralith mumbled beneath his breath. "… How nostalgic…"

A Conquest Title could be considered both a boon and a disaster. And most often… it was a disaster.

They rarely, if ever, appeared. And unlike most things, it was even rarer for them to appear in higher-level Sectors.

Unlike a Contested Title that could often be passed along without bloodshed, a Conquest Title was the exact opposite. But it was precisely because of that that it could be considered a ticking time bomb. The fact they almost never appeared in Sectors beyond a certain level of power only made them more enticing.

The description of the Title was not exaggerating. Now that he was the Primus Imperium, he was not allowed to lose to an F-tier.

Any F-tier.

If an F-tier from a higher-ranked Sector caught wind of the appearance of this Conquest Title and managed to find a way to slip by the system's restrictions to target Sylas, the moment Sylas lost to this individual, the Title would be gone.

Not killed.

Lost.

The requirements for wielding such a Title were impossibly stringent. Let alone losing, Sylas wasn't allowed to run or avoid battle either.

All of this was based on intent alone. Sylas had long learned to control his intent when it came to the Scorned Wraps, but there were certain things that he could never trick it about.

For example, in the past, Sylas couldn't even hold a treasure in his hands without it being destroyed. Now, he could hold one easily by controlling his intent. But no matter what he did, he could never use a treasure to bolster his combat strength or kill someone.

That was a hard line that could never be crossed so long as the Scorned Wraps limited him.

By the same token, so long as Sylas learned of a challenge from an F-tier, if he made any attempt to delay, to avoid, or pretend as though he didn't know of their purpose—unless he was 100% certain that fighting them could only end in his victory—he would lose the Title and all that came with it.

Somehow, this wasn't even the most troublesome part of having such a Conquest Title.

Primus Imperium was only active for as long as Sylas was an F-tier. The moment he promoted to E-tier, it would disappear. Unfortunately, the Titles that it had forcefully erased wouldn't come back magically either.

That meant that until Sylas could somehow earn Primus Imperium once again in the E-tier, he would have to re-earn King Slayer all on his own.

Luckily, although he had lost his Bloodline Title—something he still wasn't sure of the function of just yet—his Royal Hero Line had been permanently upgraded. So that wasn't all a loss.

All of that said… losing Titles and being targeted by those outside of your Sector was just one matter. The real problem wasn't any of this… It was other Primus Imperiums across the universe.
