Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1485

Sylas felt as though the Aether in his body was being pulled by a greater existence, almost like a God had reached down from the skies and pierced a hand through his chest, yanking at his heart.

His arteries and veins snapped, the valves of his most precious organ squeezing and bursting beneath the pressure.

it was nothing more than an illusion, and yet his heart constricted just the same, his skin turning red under the strain so much so that the scales that coated him began to glow the very same crimson through the cracks and crevices that separated them.

The forest all around them began to die in real time, a strong lifeforce that once suffused it all pooling into the King Serpent's body as it grew stronger and larger.

It had already been kilometers in length, but it more than doubled in size in an instant, reaching over 50 kilometers in the blink of an eye.

Sylas couldn't even read its state anymore, but his Will remained just as sharp. He knew that in that moment, the King Serpent's Physical stats had bloomed to over seven digits, a shocking number that made space bend and whine beneath its might.

BANG.

A tail swept out and crashed against Sylas' body. It was fast to the point of feeling like a skill had been deployed, so shockingly swift that even Sylas' senses almost missed it despite the passive time dilation abilities of his Progenitor Flame.

The entire front of his Scorpion Warlord Armor shattered, the back responding in kind in a vain attempt to spread out the damage.

Blood splattered out of his mouth more than it shot out, splintering between his teeth and lips in a spray that burnt away in a mist of violence.

Pain would have overwhelmed his senses first and foremost if not for the second attack that was coming no less swiftly.

The roar of the King Serpent peeled across the skies, bolts of black and grey descending into its open maw. Its blackened scales pulsed with life as though it had swallowed a silver sun, rays peeking out from the splits in its scales as its throat expanded.

The echoes of its enraged words still hung in the air, booming across the dome of the skies akin to claps of thunder and rending the clouds into a churning mess of radiant power.

Die. Die. Die.

And then it breathed.

BADUM.

A gulp sank deep into its belly, descending down from its bulging throat and then shot out of its maw like a cannon.

The sound was so loud it couldn't be described, so loud it swallowed up everything in its wake and made one feel as though the universe had fallen into complete silence until the screeching remnants of one's eardrums pulsed with what life remained of it.

A concentrated ball of black and silver energy charged forth and swallowed Sylas even faster than the sound waves it produced did. Maybe he wouldn't have the chance to assess what his eardrums did their best to pass along to him at all as he was completely buried.

The King Serpent raised its head arrogantly into the skies, so tall the cyclone of clouds above practically became its own crown.

Unfortunately for the King Serpent, the abilities it used to grow so powerful were the last piece Sylas needed to comprehend the world he was in. The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the ɴo(v)elFɪre.ɴet
