Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn) novel Chapter 331

Lillian's face went as white as a sheet. "Is it someone from the Fisher family? Are they here to kill me?"

Before she could process the thought, someone shattered the car's windshield with force.

"Miss, I'll hold them off. You need to run!" Bruce yelled, darting out to confront the attackers.

Gunshots echoed in the air.

Kicking off her high heels, Lillian flung open the car door and bolted like her life depended on it.

The men Joshua had sent were seasoned mercenaries, trained abroad and highly skilled. Bruce, despite being a top-notch bodyguard, was outmatched.

He was quickly overpowered.

Two bullets hit Bruce, one in the thigh and another in the left arm, leaving a trail of blood behind.

The leader barked orders, "Patch him up. We can't have him dying on us."

Soon, a blonde American mercenary dragged Lillian over. "Got her."

Lillian kicked and thrashed, her voice full of fury. "Let go of me! You bastards, let me go!"

"Smack!"

The leader landed a hard slap across her face, making her lip bleed and her cheek flush red.

"Shut it! One more word, and I'll cut out your tongue!" He spoke with a chilling calmness, underlined by cruelty.

Stunned by the slap and terrified by his threat, Lillian clamped her mouth shut and stopped struggling.

They hadn't killed her, suggesting Joshua hadn't made up his mind to finish her off. Their mission was just to capture her.

They bound Lillian, taped her mouth shut, and shoved a black canvas bag over her head, tossing her roughly into a pickup truck.

The ride was rough, and after what felt like forever, the truck finally stopped.

The ship rocked, making her dizzy and nauseous. Not used to such travel, she was violently seasick, vomiting everywhere.

No one came to clean up, and the stench lingered, choking her in the confined space.

Joshua, do you really despise me this much?

To drag me back, you’ve thrown me onto this miserable ship.

Do you truly have no feelings left for me?

Huddled in a corner, Lillian hugged her knees, growing more despondent with each thought, tears streaming down her face.

In the evening, the door creaked open, and something was tossed inside.

"Here, cover yourself. Don't freeze to death."

The man threw the item in and slammed the door shut.
