The Rogue Alpha and the Werewolf King (by Hailey Kristine) novel Chapter 118

Ziana’s POV

*3+8 Pointa

After being released by the doctor mom, Addie, Lettie and I make our way to my room at the castle. Mom gave me a small tour on the way. I knew this was a castle, but this place is HUGE. We walk up four flights of stairs to what she says is the Alpha floor. It holds two 4 bedroom house layouts and two small two bedroom apartments. In the middle is a larger living room and a dining area. I don’t really understand it. Each home and apart hold a kitchen and small sitting room, but then each room has its own bathroom..

Iris lives in one of the apartments, while Tali and Marie live in the other. Linc and Nali live in one house, we

live in the other.

I am shown to my new room and am in shock at the sheer size of the room. I have a large bed, dresser, with a TV, small sitting chair in the corner, and two night stands. This is more than I have ever had.

Hell, even the carpet is more than I have ever had. I make my way to the shower and after a few minutes of trying to figure out how it works, I am in heaven. The warm water cascading down my body is bliss. I don’t remember ever having warm water. I didn’t even think it could be warm.

I scrub my hair with some soap, multiple times, until the water runs clear. I find some coconut melon scented soap and wash my body with it. Staying under the water for a few more minutes, I step out and wrap a towel around myself.

Once I step into the room I move towards the dresser and find a few different clothing items in there, so I put them on. They are a bit big, a pair of sweats, and a larger t shirt.

Almost as if she knew I was done dressing mother knocks on the door and enters.

Ziana, you look like you are feeling better. She says as she pauses at the door, looking behind her. Are you

She steps into the room, okay if Warrick comes in?She asks and I nod my head, not sure what else Warrick following behind her and closing the door as he enters. His large frame is intimidating, but his eyes hold a softness that seems out of place. He smiles as he looks at me.

I am glad you are feeling better. He says, his kindness startling me. Why does he feel so welcoming? Thanks.I say awkwardly as I shuffle from one foot to the other.

We were able to piece some things together from your friends. More like how you grew up, but we would like to hear from you what you are comfortable telling us.” Mom says as she makes her way and sits on my bed, Warrick joins her, holding her hand. Both giving me comforting looks, being patient. I begin to pace, thinking about what I should tell them.

Um so. I was raised to be a weapon of war and at the age of seven Father, or um, Franklin, did some sort of dark ritual and I was infected with dark magic. It is part of what makes me uhh, stronger. It is also why I don’t have my wolf.” I say and they nod, listening intently. I’m not very comfortable sharing anything else.

Okay. I hope that one day you feel comfortable telling us more. But thank you for sharing that.Mom says and the relief I feel of them not making a big deal about me not having my wolf seems palpable. Mom looks to Warrick, who now looks nervous and is eyeing me like a scared animal.

Ahem. So. Um. Ziana. My wolf. Viggo. Has claimed you as his own. I hold the same belief and would like to

know if. Um. If you would like. Uh We would like to adopt you.He stammers. That is the last thing I would expect to hear from him. Especially him saying his wolf claims me.

You want to adopt me?I ask and he nods, rubbing the back of his neck as a red blush creeps up his neck.

You don’t have to answer now, you can think about it. But I would like to get to know you, either way.He says and I nod.

I’ll think about it I guess.I answer and he mumbles of course, before my mom stands up and catches my attention.

We would like to do your induction into the pack, now. If you are wanting to join.” Mom says and I nod.

Uh, Sure. This is quick.I say as she pulls out a folded paper and a small dagger.

Since, we don’t have a file for you, this is just a paper that has your name and your birth parentsnames. It also has your pack being the Royal pack. She says as she shows me the paper. I nod and she makes her way to the dresser. Warrick is still sitting on the bed.

Doesn’t he have to do it?I ask and she smiles, but shakes her head.

Alpha and Luna are equal, either one can accept a new member.” She explains as she sticks her finger and places it next to her name. She points towards my name and explains to me what to do.
