Chapter34
Ziana’s POV
I sit in my room for hours, studying everything that Reginald has sent me. I don’t know where to start. We have looked everywhere for him, and still can’t find him. It’s 8:00 when there is a knock on my door.
I cover the things I have out and make my may to the door. Addie stood there, her pink eyes studying me. “What happened?” She asks and I sigh, grabbing the new letter and hand it to her. I get dressed as she reads the letter.
“Are you kidding me?” She asks and I shake my head. “Goddes I f*cking hate this man.” She says and I nod. “I’m pretty sure he is responsible for taking the women, but I don’t understand why. Any leads on the one today?” I ask and she shakes her head.
“No. Lila was able to follow them through the forest, but they lost her at the lake. Hybrid speed doesn’t include swimming.” She tells me.
“Damn.” I mumble and she nods, handing me a map.
“Mark’s ready. Are you?” She asks and I nod, pocketing the phone as she transports us to the royal pack and to our new spot to scope for tonight.
Mark eyes me. His brown eyes are full of worry even though he is smiling.
“You good?” He asks and I nod.
“Fan freaking tasitc.” I answer and he shakes his head. We plan our path and begin walking.
“I’ve missed you.” He says after a while and I smile sadly.
“You knew what you were getting into with me.” I answer and he nods.
“I know. It’s not just the s*x I miss, but also my friend. I just miss my friend.” He explains. Mark was my first. He was also the only one that I would feel comfortable enough being completely naked around, being that he had similar scars too.
“I’ve missed my friend too.” I answer and he nudges me with his shoulder.
“How is it? Having two mates?” He asks and I sigh. I then go into detail, explaining everything that has happened for the second night in a row.
“Wow. That’s a lot.” He answers after I am done explaining everything.
“Yeah. Now I don’t know what to do. They’ll hate me, Mark. Then they will be miserable for the rest
lives.” I say and he shakes his head.
“Ziana. I think it is more than that.” He says and I
eye
him.
“What are you talking about?” I ask and he smirks. Giving me that look that tells me I’m not going to like what
he says.
“You have always tried to help people. To make up for what you were forced to do. If your mates forgive you, then you will be forced to forgive yourself. And I don’t think you are ready for that.” He explains. I scowl at him
and he laughs, raising his hands in surrender.

“I’m not saying that what you think will happen won’t, but if they are mad at something you were forced to do when you were 8, then they don’t deserve you. I truly think that they won’t be mad and that is what scares you the most. They are your mates.” He continues and I grumble, ignoring him and continuing our way around the forest.
The rest of the night goes by without any issues. Addie comes for us and takes us home. I take a shower and lay down, not finding the rest that my body craves. My mind is wandering and worrying about everything.
I look at the clock and see that it is 6:00 in the morning. I have been laying here for 2 1⁄2 hours and don’t see myself going to bed now. I get dressed, putting on some leggings and a white baggy top.
Walking out, I make my way to the main pack dining room and unfortunately find Zane, Killian, and Kai eating breakfast at the head table. I sit down and grab some of the fruit and french toast that is in the middle of the table.
“Good morning.” Killian and Zane say at the same time.
“Morning.” I answer.
“Did you sleep at all? Goddess you look like sh*t.” Kai says. I glare at him as Killian and Zane growl and he laughs, then shoves a whole piece of toast in his mouth. I roll my eyes at him and begin eating.
“Luna!” I hear yelled from the hallway. “Luna! Where is Luna?” I hear, I stand up quickly making my way to the open doors. The guys following behind me in alarm. I step out to see Shelly running around the hallway looking in each of the doors calling for me. She stops and eyes me, her eyes frantic.
“Luna! It’s Leo. He’s upset. You have to help him.” She explains, eyes tearing up.
“Of course. Take me to him.” I say. She turns, and runs, me and the guys following her to a small room with lights flickering.
