Chapter 62

Jaxon’s POV

What the hell just happened? One moment we were joking and the next Evan was clutching her head in pain. She rushed out of the room so fast I didn’t have time to comprehend it.

I raced downstairs to find somebody who could help and I saw Evan speaking with Linc, while Henry and the twins were in the room waiting.

What the hell is going on?I ask hurriedly.

What are you talking about?Henry asks.

What I am talking about is the fact that Evan was just clutching her head in pain and almost passing out,. and now she insists she has to go somewhere? What is going on?I ask as I look over to see a red head transporting Evan somewhere.

She had a vision.Linc explained as he walked over to the group.

That still doesn’t explain anything.I say while crossing my arms.

She is blessed to be able to see people who need help. Past, current, and future. She is going to help a

woman and child.” Linc answers and I nod my head, trying to process the information.

Current? I don’t understand. That isn’t a gift.” I say and they all look around at each other.

Like Linc said she is blessed. Seeing the current is not normal, that is why she was in pain. She said it’s like it slows down time for her to be able to see what is happening clearly and it rips through her head while doing it.” Tali answers and I nod my head and begin to pace.

Shouldn’t somebody have gone with her?I ask and they shake their heads.

Nobody goes with her unless she asks. She mainly goes alone when it comes to current visions. No time to explain to somebody or make a plan. She just tells us vague details like today, woman and child. Dalya knows the location and when she comes back she tells us where Evan was dropped off.” Henry informs me.

So this happens a lot?I ask and he shrugs his shoulders.

Often enough.He answers.

I continue pacing trails in the rug for the next 30 minutes. Next thing I knew, a woman with blonde and green

hair appeared in the room with a child who has the same hair. They are both crying. The woman looks like she has been beaten bloody. While both looked like they were caught in a house fire. Nali goes to greet the woman who flinches at the efforts.

We need to get you to a healer and cleaned up.” Nali says gently and the woman nods, looks around the room and puts her head down, while trying to console her child. Nali gently guides them out of the room and I am guessing to a healer. After the woman leaves the red head comes back with a bloodied and burned Evan.

She looks around the room in panic.

Healer.Linc says and Evan lets out a loud breath of air. A small older lady walks into the room and grabs

Evans hands. After a minute her burns and abrasions are gone.

Thank you Laughtness.Évan says kindly.

Chapter 62

Anytime dear.Laughtness says and pats Evans cheek. The old lady hobbles away with a smile on her face.

What the hell happened?I ask and Evan glances at me then looks at her clothes.

I would prefer to shower and change. I don’t exactly like being covered in blood. She says and I cringe.

Right. Vampires.I say and she scoffs while the others laugh slightly at me.

I’ll have you know that the vampires in my pack are not blood thirsty heathens who attack at the sight or smell of blood. They are more tolerant than that. She snaps at me and I feel heat crawl up my cheeks while she leaves the room.

Ohhhhh Jaxon got in trouble.Henry says, nudging me with his foot. The rest of the group start cackling like hyenas and I glare at them. At least they are welcoming me into their little group I guess.

Evangelina’s POV

Most people think that in order to be transported the transporter needs to know the coordinates or must have been to the place before. While this is true, there are also other ways to transport as long as your transporter is strong enough. The person tagging along can control where they go. All they have to do is think of the place or the person they wish to see. Sometimes thinking of people doesn’t work as well because they might have a block on them, or depending on what they are, anything other than a wolf, bear or vampire. Why it is like that, I am not sure, but it still helps greatly.

After I reached the destination in mind, Dalya stayed out of sight but close. Like she normally does for these quick missions. The sight I see sickens me. It’s a pack of about 50, gathered shouting obscenities at a woman and child as they are being dragged to a post by guards. The woman is screaming and the child is wailing in her arms. The woman is covered in blood.

The half breed tricked me. She is not your Luna. She is an abomination!A man shouts, while watching the scene on a podium close to the post. The crowd screams, some are filled with sorrow, while others are irate. Flames begin to erupt on the trail to the post, burning just the woman and child.

Veena lets out a loud growl and we begin pushing our way through the crowd. Everything seems to happen in slow motion as I reach the post that the woman has been dragged to. I see chains and know that they are going to chain her and the child to the post to burn alive, or worse torture before being burned alive. It’s something I have seen before and it is not pleasant.

Fire erupts on the woman and she all but throws her child to get him away from the flames. Her screams of agony tear at my heart. I don’t hesitate when I jump on the platform, I rush to her and cover her body with mine, the flames engulf me as well, but I focus on her. Pulling moisture from around the air and using it to quell the flames licking her skin. The fire stops as I hear a man bellow.

HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT THIS EXECUTION?!!He screams and I hear stomping.

Grab your child as soon as I get up!I whisper to the woman. I feel her nod through her sobbing. I get up and she races to her child. Dalya pops in and out of the scene, taking the woman and child with her. There are gasps from all around. I look to see that the Alpha is a fat older man with graying hair, large nose and beady orange eyes. Ew she could do better than him. His reddened face doesn’t help either. Fire erupts around me, but I do not flinch as I walk through it, towards him. He is surprised, but then directs his flames on me. Goddess damn it hurts like hell, but I stalk forward and grab the man by his throat, cutting off his airflow. Veena is out and she is urging me for blood.
