Marion still remembered that two years ago, when he first arrived in Seamar City, Andrew had handed him an invitation. It was at that auction that he first met Debra.
Back then, everything felt like destiny. Now he realized it was all part of Andrew's plan.
He also remembered how Andrew sent him to an auction overseas to get back his mother's belongings. At that auction, he saw an identical sapphire ring to the one his mother used to wear.
He bought it, unaware it belonged to the Frazier family. Andrew had placed it there for him to acquire.
Andrew was truly a master strategist. He must have known from the beginning that the Houston family's ring had been in Jeffrey's hands all along. Sending him to the auction was just a way to return the ring to Debra.
For a moment, Marion wasn't sure whether to feel angry or grateful. Without those arrangements, he might not have met the love of his life.
"Marion? Why are you standing at the door?" Debra called out.
Marion snapped out of his thoughts. "I was thinking when your injury heals, we'll go home."
Debra smiled, but there was a sense of heaviness and loss in her heart. She glanced down at the crest in her hand, wondering where Andrew was right now.
...
At the airport, Barton said, "Sir, it's time to board."
"Okay." Andrew nodded.
